LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Actress Tatum O'Neal spoke to X17online today about her arrest on Sunday night as she made her way to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting in New York City.

O'Neal, 44, told X17online: "I think it's a tragic thing, but I brought it upon my self. I'm glad it happened the way it happened. Any kind of addiction is always a tragedy. Right now I'm on my way to take care of myself by going to an AA meeting."

O'Neal was arrested on June 1 around 7:30 pm ET on Clinton Street between East Broadway and Grant Street, according to the Manhattan South Narcotics as she was in the process of buying crack and cocaine from a street dealer.
