LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have sold the first pictures of their newborn twins to Hello! magazine for a staggering $15 million. According to The Daily Mail, the magazine outbid rival publication OK! Magazine for the rights to the exclusive pictures of Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt, and the photographs of the twins will be the most expensive celebrity baby pictures ever.

Shortly after Jolie and Pitt's first biological child, Shiloh was born in 2006, the couple sold her pictures to Hello! for $4 million and donated the money to charity. The domestic rights to the photos will go to People magazine, which also published the first images of Shiloh in 2006.

A magazine insider said: "This is one of the publishing sensations of the decade - Brad and Angelina are the dream couple of the glossy magazine world and we expect to triple our circulation because of the public's fascination and interest in the couple and their children."

The magazines will hit newstands on Monday, and People will debut the cover photo online on August 3 at 7 p.m. ET.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen director Michael Bay told Access Hollywood that actor Shia LaBeouf was not drunk last Sunday when he was involved in a car accident that resulted in his Ford F150 being flipped over.

Though it was widely reported that the actor was drunk when police reached the scene of the accident, Bay said, “You’re gonna see - that’s gonna go away. That’s fresh news. He was not drunk. He was drinking hours and hours before.” Authorities have since determined that the 22-year-old actor was not at fault for the crash, as the other driver allegedly ran a red light.

Prior to the crash that occurred on the corner of La Brea and Fountain, LaBeouf was at the Troubadour night club with co-star Isabel Lucas, and an insider for Us Weekly claims the actor was drinking at the venue. “He was dancing around and acting really crazy,” the source told the magazine. “He kept doing shots of whiskey.”

After the incident, LaBeouf was taken to Cedars Sinai Medical Center where he was treated for a minor head injury and injuries to his left hand. Bay added that he spoke to the actor two days ago and that his current condition may be written into the film's script. “I spoke to him yesterday in the hospital,” Bay said. “His two fingers are pretty mashed, but we’re figuring out a way to shoot around it, kind of write it in the story.”

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Cher has put her Italian Renaissance-style Malibu mansion on the market for $45 million, according to The Wall Street Journal. The 14,000-square-foot, three-story house has six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a theater, a gym, multiple verandas, a tennis court, a pool and a guest house.

The singer has bought and sold several homes in the past few years; in 2006, she purchased a condo in Los Angeles and sold a waterfront estate in Key Biscayne, Florida, for $8.8 million. Since May of 2008 Cher has been performing at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Sony Pictures is moving forward with Venom, a potential Spider-Man spinoff based on the villian from Spiderman 3.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio is developing the project in hopes that Venom could give some longevity to the aging Spider-Man franchise, much like Fox's X-Men franchise and the upcoming spinoff based on the character Wolverine.

Topher Grace played Venom in Spiderman 3, but his character was created by a parasite that attached itself to his body via a sticky substance, so the fact that Venom is a substance rather than a character gives Sony the option to cast a new actor for the role.

Sony is developing a fourth Spider-Man film for 2011, but wanted to do a spinoff with a new character in the meantime. The use of spinoffs based on other Spider-Man characters was a part of the licensing deal between Marvel and the studio.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Soccer star David Beckham will make a special guest appearance on the first episode of the 39th season of Sesame Street, according to The Daily Mail. He will introduce the word "persistent" to Elmo and viewers on the show's "Word on the Street" segment.

Other celebrities including Heidi Klum, Jenny McCarthy, Jack Black and Jessica Alba will also appear in the special episode of the highly popular children's show.

A source told the newspaper, "David has always been a huge fan of the show. When he was a kid he watched it, like a lot of people, and knew all the characters. He was more than happy to go on."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - In the next issue of Entertainment Weekly, MTV reality television star Lauren Conrad reveals that the upcoming season of The Hills might be the last.

Conrad tells the magazine, ''Every season, I think it's the last. Right now, I think this is the last season. LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - For the third weekend, The Dark Knight held on to the number one spot at the box office, earning $43.8 million to make it's domestic gross $394.9 million. The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor snagged the number two spot with $42.5 million, while Step Brothers took in $16.3 million and claimed the number three spot.

Industry experts predict The Dark Knight will earn $400 million domestically either today or Tuesday. Jeffrey Goldstein, Warner Bros. executive vice president of distribution said, "It's a movie that has overperformed at every turn. To have a 42% drop in the third weekend is a tremendous hold. Everyone is going - everyone."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - The first photos of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's newborn twins have sold for $14 million, an insider involved in the negotiations revealed to The Associated Press. Hello! magazine has the international rights to the pictures, while People holds the domestic rights to the exclusive shots of Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt.

This is the second time both publications won the rights to the couple's baby pictures, and the third time the couple has brokered a deal with the magazines and given the money to charity. Shortly after Shiloh was born in 2006, the two established the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, which will receive the money from the most recent photo deal.

"We're thrilled to be able to feature these pictures in People," managing editor Larry Hackett said in a statement. Getty Images served as the photographer for both the Shiloh deal and twins deal, and co-founder and CEO Jonathan Klein said his company was "delighted that all proceeds from these stunning images will once again be donated entirely to charity."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Morgan Freeman is listed in serious condition after his car went off the road and flipped over in Mississippi on Sunday night, according to MSBNC.

Police said Freeman was driving eastbound on Highway 32 near the town of Ruleville, Mississippi around 11:30 p.m. when his car went off the road and flipped over several times. Freeman, 71, and his female passenger had to be extracted from the vehicle and the actor was airlifted to Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Actress Mary-Kate Olsen has refused to be questioned by federal investigators examining the accidental death of Heath Ledger unless she receives immunity, according to The New York Post.

The newspaper reports that the actress' attorney has repeatedly resisted attempts by the federal investigators to question his client, but investigators could obtain a grand-jury subpoena to force the actress to talk about the late actor and his possible drug use. All of the drugs in Ledger's body (and the prescription bottles present in his apartment) were legally obtained from two physicians except for OxyContin, and according to a source, investigators "are trying to ID the source of the OxyContin. Did it come from a dealer, from a friend? If he had a bottle from a friend, was it taken by someone else before police responded? That is what is trying to be determined."

Olsen and Ledger had been friends for nearly two years, and Olsen's masseuse, Diana Wolozin, was the one who discovered Ledger's body in his New York City residence. Wolozin phoned the actress before calling authorities, and Olsen called her bodyguards telling them to head to Ledger's home, which they did, around the same time as paramedics. The fact that Wolozin called the actress before she dialed 911 has raised significant questions as to what involvement, if any, Olsen had in the Oscar nominated actor's death.

Another source told the New York Post, "Everyone has been very eager to help, saying what a great guy Heath Ledger was, everyone except Mary-Kate, who has refused to speak." Olsen's lawyer, Michael Miller said, "We are not going to comment on whether there is a criminal investigation."

Regarding the government's investigation, at Ms. Olsen's request, we have provided the government with relevant information including facts in the chronology of events surrounding Mr. Ledger's death and the fact that Ms. Olsen does not know the source of the drugs Mr. Ledger consumed. We don't know the source of the information being quoted in the media regarding the government's inquiry, but these descriptions are incomplete and inaccurate."

Sheen earns a staggering $825,000 per episode, which includes money from his ownership rights for the series. With an average of 23 episodes, the Emmy nominated actor is taking home just under $20 million per year.

Law & Order: SVU star and Emmy winner Mariska Hargitay is the highest-paid actress in a television drama, earning $400,000 an episode, while Oprah Winfrey is the top earner for daytime television, taking home an estimated $385 million a year for her legendary talk show.

Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane, who also does voices for four of the show's main characters, signed a deal with Fox in May that will net him $100 million over the next 4 years, making him the highest paid writer/producer in television.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Leonardo DiCaprio's maternal grandmother Helene Indenbirken died at age 93 in a hospital in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, according to a local paper, the Recklinghauser Zeitung.

The Oscar nominated actor was very close to his grandmother, whom he often referred to as "Oma." Indenbirken often accompanied him to movie premieres, including The Aviator in 2005.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - The Dark Knight hit the $400 million mark on its 18th day of release, beating the 43-day mark previously held by Shrek 2 in 2004. The Batman sequel, starring Christian Bale and the late Heath Ledger earned $6.3 million on Monday, adding to its previous domestic gross of $393.8 million.

Warners executive vice president Jeffrey Goldstein said yesterday, "The continued repeat business and the incredible movie itself just speak volumes."

Many industry experts are predicting that the film won't quite be able to catch up to Titantic's domestic gross of $600.8 million, or it's international gross of $1.84 billion, but The Dark Knight has already grossed around $611.3 million globally, so at this point only time will tell.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Paris Hilton fired back at John McCain yesterday after the Republican presidential candidate used images of the star in his ad digging into Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

In the video, Hilton, 27, refers to McCain "as that wrinkly white haired guy [who] used me in his campaign ad, which I guess means I am running for president, so thanks for the endorsement, white-haired dude."

In her response, the heiress and reality television star also discussed solutions for the nation's energy crisis. Hilton stated, "Barack wants to focus on new technology to cut foreign oil dependency and McCain wants off-shore drilling...why don't we do a hybrid of both candidates' ideas? Series creator Sean Smith reveals that The Hills star will play a spiritual adviser to Spencer Grammer's character, in the second season finale airing October 28. "It's a dream sequence in which Casey and LC [Conrad] are best friends. Casey has a big decision she has to make, and she's like, 'LC, what do I do? Advise me!'" he tells the magazine. LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Academy Award winning actor Morgan Freeman is getting a divorce from his wife of 24 years, according to Access Hollywood.

Bill Luckett, Freeman's attorney and business partner tells the show that Freeman and his estranged wife Myrna Colley-Lee, “are involved in a divorce action...And for legal and practical purposes, [Freeman and Colley-Lee] have been separated since December of 2007.”

On Sunday, Freeman was involved in a car crash in which his vehicle went off the road and flipped over, leaving him in serious condition. Freeman was accompanied by a Demaris Meyer, and the two were on their way to the actor's house when the accident occurred.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Judd Apatow's latest comedy, Pineapple Express earned $12.1 million on Wednesday, making it the highest opening Wednesday for the month of August. Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 also opened on Wednesday, hoping to take advantage of children still being out of school, and to avoid the drop in moviegoers due to Friday night's telecast of the Olympics Opening Ceremony, according to Variety.

Pineapple Express goes up against The Dark Knight this weekend, which has earned a total of $410.7 million domestically. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Pineapple Express could potentially earn as much as $30 million this weekend, and over $40 million in its first five days of release, which is enough to win the weekend box office, as The Dark Knight is unlikely to reach $25 million in its fourth weekend.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Though Miley Cyrus always insisted that she and Nick Jonas were "just friends," the Hannah Montana star is finally coming forward with the truth about their relationship. In the September issue of Seventeen, the 15-year-old pop singer says, "We became boyfriend and girlfriend the day we met. The Associated Press reports that prosecutors have called off the case "because they don't believe there's a viable target." According to a government official, the subpoena is no longer valid because it was contingent upon prosecutors pursuing the case; however, the case could be brought back if evidence of a crime surfaces.

The couple have been together for ten years and share a 2,200-acre ranch in Stephenville, Texas. LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Brad Pitt has officially signed on to star in Quentin Tarantino's latest project, Inglorious Bastards, according to Variety.

Inglorious Bastards pays homage to the 1978 Italian film Quel Maledetto Treno Blindato, (which was released in the U.S. under the title Inglorious Bastards) that follows a group of WWII soldiers who are about to be executed, but are able to turn around their fate after a series of unforeseen incidents. Most of the film's dialogue is French or German, and subtitles will be used, but Pitt will speak English for his role as Aldo Raine, an American soldier who leads a group of eight Jewish-American soldiers against the Nazis.

Production is slated to begin on October 13 in Germany, and Tarantino hopes to complete the film in time for next year's Cannes Film Festival. Producer Lawrence Bender said casting should be complete in about a week or two, and Simon Pegg, David Krumholtz and B.J. Novak are currently in talks to join the project. Pegg would play a British lieutenant, while Krumholtz and Novak would play Pitt's subordinates, and Eli Roth has signed on to play Sargeant Donnie Donowitz.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Paul Newman has finished his chemotherapy treatment for cancer, but according to The Daily Mail, the 83-year-old Oscar winner has been given only a few weeks to live.

Newman is at home with his wife of 50 years, Joanne Woodward, and a source close to the family tells the paper, "Paul didn't want to die in the hospital. [His wife] Joanne and his daughters are beside themselves with grief. The word they've been given is that he has only a few weeks to live."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Britney Spears will appear in a television promo for this year's MTV Video Music Awards.

According to E! Online, the pop singer shot the promo on Tuesday at the Paramount lot in Hollywood along with this year's host, British comedian Russell Brand.

According to a source for E!, "It was mostly ad-libbed, with Russell asking her for advice about hosting the show. There's also a 9,000-pound elephant in it, as in 'the elephant in the room.'"

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - MTV has announced more nominees for the 2008 Video Music Awards, which will be held on the Paramount lot in Hollywood on September 7.

Those nominated in the Best New Artist category are Miley Cyrus ("7 Things"), Katy Perry ("I Kissed A Girl"), country star Taylor Swift ("Teardrops on my Guitar"), Jordin Sparks ("No Air") and Tokio Hotel ("Ready Set Go").

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Heroes star Hayden Panettiere's father, Alan, was arrested just after 3 a.m. on Monday morning at the family's West Hollywood home for felony domestic violence, the West Hollywood Sheriff's department confirmed to X17online.

Last night, Panettiere attended a Save the Whales benefit at Beso with her parents, just hours before her father was arrested for allegedly hitting her mother Lesley in the face. Although Hayden arrived to the event with her parents, she left with co-star and boyfriend Milo Ventimiglia and it's unclear whether or not she was with her parents at the time of the alleged altercation.

Alan Panettiere is currently in police custody on $50,000 bail.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - The Dark Knight held onto the number one spot at the box office and earned an additional $26 million this weekend, bringing its domestic gross to $441.5 million, which gives it the number three spot on the all-time box office performers list, just behind Star Wars at $460.9 million, which it is expected to beat this week.

The stoner comedy Pineapple Express brought in $22.4 million over the weekend, and since it opened on Wednesday it has earned $40.7 million. The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor earned $16.1 million and secured the number three spot.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Grammy winning singer Isaac Hayes was found unconscious in his Memphis, Tennessee home on Sunday afternoon, and though paramedics attempted to revive him, he was pronounced dead just after 2 p.m. at a local hospital, according to CNN.

The cause of death has not yet been determined, though authorities released a statement saying that they did not suspect foul play.

The soul singer was best known for the theme from Shaft which he wrote and performed, as well as his nearly decade-long role on South Park as "Chef." Hayes also wrote classic soul hits for other artists over the years including Hold On, I’m Coming and Soul Man.

LOS ANGELES, California - Though both presidential campaigns have reached out to Angelina Jolie, the Oscar-winning actress has not yet decided who she is going to vote for in the upcoming election.

In a statement provided by political adviser Trevor Neilson to Variety, Jolie says, "I have not decided on a candidate. I am waiting to see the commitments they will make on issues like international justice, refugees and how to address the needs of children in crisis around the world."

Earlier this year after her trip to Iraq, Jolie wrote an op-ed for the Washington Post titled, "Staying to Help in Iraq," in which she stated, "My visit left me even more deeply convinced that we not only have a moral obligation to help displaced Iraqi families, but also a serious, long-term, national security interest in ending this crisis. Today's humanitarian crisis in Iraq and the potential consequences for our national security are great. Can the United States afford to gamble that 4 million or more poor and displaced people, in the heart of Middle East, won't explode in violent desperation, sending the whole region into further disorder?"

Jolie added that she wanted to "call on each of the presidential candidates and congressional leaders to announce a comprehensive refugee plan with a specific timeline and budget as part of their Iraq strategy."

In her June interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jolie was asked if she had discussed politics with Clint Eastwood, longtime republican and the director of her upcoming film, The Changeling. "Actually, we don't disagree as much as you'd think. I think people assume I'm a Democrat," she said. "But I'm registered independent and I'm still undecided. So I'm looking at McCain as well as Obama."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Yankees star Alex Rodriguez is making a half a million dollar donation to Madonna's charity, Raising Malawi, according to the NY Daily News.

A source told the newspaper, "They've asked him for a million dollars, and I hear he's agreed to give at least $500,000." This isn't the first time Rodriguez has made a large donation; in 2003, he gave $3.9 million to the University of Miami to help build a baseball stadium.

Neither Rodriguez's representative nor a spokesperson for the charity would confirm the donation.

Rumors have run rampant for quite some time that Madonna and Rodriguez were having an affair, which led to his wife Cynthia filing for divorce in early July. Rodriguez's estranged wife even cited Madonna as a reason for the divorce, as well as emotional abandonment, but Madonna and Rodriguez have both denied any romantic involvement.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Actress Hayden Panettiere's father Alan was released from police custody shortly after 1 p.m. today. Panettiere was arrested just after 3 a.m. on Monday morning for felony domestic violence, after his wife Lesley called the police. Panettiere allegedly hit Lesley in the face at least twice, causing "visible signs of injury," and a sheriff's spokesman added that "alcohol was involved in the incident."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Oscar-winner Angelina Jolie is set to replace Tom Cruise as the lead in the upcoming espionage thriller, Edwin A. Salt according to Variety.

Though Cruise had long shown interest in the project, that ended recently, and the studio has decided to change the gender of the lead role, and the movie will be rewritten for Jolie. The protagonist is a CIA officer accused of being a Russian spy, who must dodge her fellow agents until she can prove her innocence. After doing action films like Wanted, Tomb Raider, and Mr. and Mrs. Smith, the role should be a breeze for the 33-year-old actress.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - The stars weren't the only ones who attended the Los Angeles premiere of Tropic Thunder last night; numerous protesters showed up and boycotted the movie, shouting things like, "Ban the movie!" and "Tropic Thunder colossal blunder!"

Givenchy spokeswoman Caroline Deroche-Pasquier says Givenchy Couture has made the legendary pop star two ensembles, one of which will be worn during the show's opening number. Givenchy's design team is headed by Riccardo Tisci, who is best know for his gothic-inspired pieces and use of dark fabrics.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Disney star Vanessa Hudgens' former producer/manager Johnny Viera is suing her for $5 million, according to Fox News.

Viera claims that when he began representing Hudgens, the two entered a financial agreement to go 50/50 on her earnings. After the huge success of High School Musical, Viera claims Hudgens let him go, and though they agreed on a settlement, she hasn't been paying.

Vanessa's father, Greg Hudgens says Viera has a “predatory nature” and that he has been trying to set up a Web site to stop more “unsuspecting talent” from falling into his trap.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Tom Cruise is "loosely attached" to the upcoming comedy Food Fight, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Cruise would play a pretentious chef who is forced to take a few steps down and cook at a school cafeteria.

After earning praise for his comedic role as a film studio exec in Tropic Thunder, Cruise has been considering returning to comedy. The last lead role Cruise had in a comedy was 1996's Jerry Maguire. Since then, Cruise has acted in numerous dramas such as Vanilla Sky and the Stanley Kubrick-directed Eyes Wide Shut, as well as action films including the Mission Impossible franchise, War of the Worlds and Minority Report.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Paris Hilton is being sued by Worldwide Entertainment Group Inc. for $75,000 in damages after failing to fulfill promotional obligations on the company's 2006 film, National Lampoon's Pledge This!

According to the lawsuit filed on Tuesday at the U.S. District Court in Miami, Hilton, 27, and her company, Paris Hilton Entertainment Inc., were paid $1 million for her "acting services," and the heiress even received executive producer credit for the film. Hilton's failure to provide "reasonable promotion and publicity" for the straight-to-DVD movie is what led to the breach of contract suit.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Model Rachel Hunter, 38, is engaged to Canadian hockey player Jarret Stoll, 26, her manager Andy Hayden has confirmed.

Hunter took Stoll to her native New Zealand this past week, where local station 3 News first reported the couple's engagement.

Hunter and Stoll have been together for nearly two years, and they currently live in Los Angeles with Hunter's two children from her previous marriage to rocker Rod Stewart.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Britney Spears' bodyguard was involved in a minor accident yesterday. An X17 photographer on the scene reports that Spears' bodyguard was driving her white Escalade when he hit another car while en route to Underlab Studios in Hollywood.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - America's Next Top Model is making history again - last season, the show picked it's first plus size winner, and this season the show will have its first transgendered contestant.

Isis, 22, is a pre-op transgender model who was born a male, but says she was "born in the wrong body" and always felt like a female. Isis was featured as an extra model for the homeless photo shoot last season, and host and creator Tyra Banks encouraged her to try out for the following season.

The 11th season of the hit reality show premieres on the CW on September 3 at 8 p.m.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Actress Jennifer Aniston and rocker John Mayer have split, according to a source for The Mirror. The source says, "John took the decision to end things as he felt he just wasn't ready for the level of commitment that Jennifer deserved."

Aniston and Mayer began dating in April, but when Mayer left for Mexico last week without the Friends star, rumors began to swirl that the two had split. LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Tom Cruise's business partner Paula Wagner is stepping down from her position as co-owner and CEO at United Artists, which will effectively end her longtime business partnership with the actor.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, UA and MGM released a joint statement yesterday saying, "Nothing will change in regard to Cruise's involvement with UA, and he continues to have a substantial ownership interest in the company. Furthermore, Cruise and Wagner will continue to work on film projects together."

Wagner will now produce independently and collaborate with UA on several projects still in development. Wagner said in a statement, "I've truly relished working with my longtime partner Tom Cruise to revitalize United Artists, and I am proud of all that we've accomplished in the past two years, reinvigorating the brand and developing such a strong slate of films...As much as I've enjoyed my time as an executive, I have longed to return to my true love, which is making movies, so that's what I've decided to do."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - The Jonas Brothers' third album, A Little Bit Longer, was released on Tuesday, and the group's label is estimating that the album will bring in sales between 675,000 and 725,000. If they can break the 721,000 mark, they will beat out Coldplay for second biggest opening week, and if they hit 1,000,000 in sales, they will knock Lil Wayne down from the number one spot.

Their last album, Jonas Brothers, is crawling back into the top 10, and if both of their albums end up on the list, it will be the first time in a decade that a group has had two top 10 albums at the same time. The last group to achieve this was 'N Sync.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Lindsay Lohan got testy yesterday when X17 photographers asked if her 14-year-old sister Ali got breast implants. The 22-year-old actress defended her teenage sister and even threw around the term pedophile when addressing photographers.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Though it was widely speculated that rocker John Mayer was the one who broke things off with Jennifer Aniston, a source for the Chicago Sun Times reveals that the Friends star was the one who did the dumping.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - British prosecutors say that actor Christian Bale will not face charges regarding an alleged assault on his mother and sister at the Dorchester Hotel in London on July 21.

According to The Associated Press, London's Crown Prosecution Service says there is insufficient evidence for a "realistic prospect of conviction" and they have told the police not to take any further action against the Batman star.

Bale was arrested on July 22 for reportedly assaulting his 61-year-old mother Jenny, after she made insulting remarks about his wife, Sandra 'Sibi' Blazic. According to a source for The Daily Mail, the actor reportedly "flew off the handle" at London's Dorchester hotel, but that "he didn’t lay a finger on anyone. He just got very loud." The source added that Bale's attitude "is that this was his mother's fault because she became very provocative in an argument they were having. Things got out of control and he now says he wishes he just left the room."

For the fourth installment of the franchise, the magazine reports that the actor is "thinking in the $8 million to $10 million range, but it depends on how the [third] movie opens and how desperately they want him back."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Warner Bros. has moved the release date of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blooded Prince" from Nov. 21 to July 17 due to what Warners president Alan Horn describes as fallout from the Writers' Guild strike.

Horn said, "We are still feeling the repercussions of the writers strike, which impacted the readiness of scripts for other films -- changing the competitive landscape for 2009 and offering new windows of opportunity that we wanted to take advantage of. We agreed the best strategy was to move 'Half-Blood Prince' to July, where it perfectly fills the gap for a major tentpole release for midsummer," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The move is also said to reflect studio execs' belief that summer is the best time for tentpole releases.

The last Harry Potter film, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" made $292 million in domestic box office receipts, making it the second-highest grossing film in the franchise's history, after the 2001 original.

"Half-Blood" brings the six book in the Harry Potter to the big screen. It is being directed by David Yates and post-production on the film has wrapped, according to the studio.

NEW YORK, New York (X17online) - It looks like MTV will give Britney Spears a chance to redeem herself after last year's disastrous performance during the Video Music Awards. Spears video for "Piece of Me" is nominated for the top prize, video of the year.

The clip mocks her relationship with the tabloids and with the paparazzi, though Britney herself told X17 photographers, whom she invited into her home late last year, that she wasn't fond of the video (click here to read the story):

"I don't like the Piece of Me video," Brit said to our photogs. "The stuff they show of me on TV looks old."

She told X17online she wanted her new clip for "Hot As Ice" to be "something new" and fresh.

The Jonas Brothers are also nominated for video of the year for "Burnin' Up," along with Chris Brown for "Forever," the Pussycat Dolls for "When I Grow Up," and the Ting Tings for "Shut Up and Let Me Go."

This is Spears' third nomination for this years's VMAs -- she was also tapped in the best pop video and best female video categories.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are set to wed in Los Angeles tomorrow, according to several online reports.

The New York Post reports the even will happen tomorrow night and that only twenty people were invited.

Following the California Supreme Court's ruling to allow same-sex marriages, DeGeneres announced on her daytime talk show in May that she and her actress girlfriend of two years would get hitched.

In a post on Barr's official blog titled "Jon Voight," the actress rips into the couple, calling Jolie "evil" as well as criticizing her political beliefs.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Tropic Thunder earned an estimated $26 million over the weekend, beating out The Dark Knight for the number one spot at the box office.

The Dark Knight earned $16.8 million in it's fifth weekend, bringing it's domestic earnings to $471.5 million. The animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars earned $15.5 million and snagged the number three spot.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Ellen DeGeneres, 50, and Portia de Rossi, 35, exchanged vows on Saturday in an intimate ceremony at their Beverly Hills home. Nineteen guests attended, including DeGeneres and de Rossi's mothers, and the couple wore matching pastel pink Zac Posen ensembles. De Rossi opted for a backless, light pink halter dress and DeGeneres wore white pants, a vest and a pink button down shirt.

The couple have been dating since December of 2004, and DeGeneres announced her plans to wed de Rossi in May after the California Supreme Court ruled that the previous ban on gay marriage was unconstitutional.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Britney Spears, along with several backup dancers, were spotted at Foresight Studios in Silverlake yesterday, sparking rumors that the pop singer is preparing for a performance at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards.

Last year, Spears, 26, performed at the awards show, but instead of making a comeback, the performance ended up being a disaster, which marked the beginning of her very public decline. Just five months later, Spears' father Jamie was appointed co-conservator of her personal life and estate, which has proven to be a wise decision. After two guest appearances on the hit CBS show How I Met Your Mother, as well as appearing in the promos for the VMAs, it seems as though Jamie Spears is attempting to revive his daughter's career, so it's entirely plausible that she could be doing more than just accepting awards at the 2008 ceremony.

Spears has been nominated for three awards, including Video of the Year, Best Female Video and Best Pop Video. The 25th annual MTV Video Music Awards air on MTV on Sept. 7, 2008, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - In her first interview since announcing her breast cancer diagnosis earlier this month, Christina Applegate appeared on ABC's Good Morning America today and revealed that she had a double mastectomy three weeks ago. The actress discussed her decision to have both breasts removed, as well as how she's dealt with the healing process, and announced that she is now cancer free.

Applegate's mother also battled breast cancer, and she tested positive for the BRCA1 gene mutation linked to breast and ovarian cancer, which largely influenced her decision to go through with the procedure. The Emmy and Golden Globe nominated actress told GMA's Robin Roberts (who battled breast cancer last year), "I just wanted to kind of be rid of it, so this was the choice I made and it was a tough one." Applegate, 36, will undergo reconstructive surgery over the next eight months.

Applegate joked with Roberts, "I'm going to have cute boobs 'til I'm 90, so there's that. I'll have the best boobs in the nursing home. I'll be the envy of all the ladies around the bridge table." Though the Samantha Who? star has a sense of humor about the ordeal, she notes that there have been some dark moments. "Sometimes, you know, I cry and sometimes I scream and I get really angry and I get really like, you know, into wallowing in self-pity sometimes," she said. "And I think that's - it's all part of healing, and anyone who's going through it out there, it's OK to cry. It's OK to fall on the ground and just scream if you want to."

Applegate learned she had cancer after receiving results from the second of two MRI tests she had done as a follow up to a biopsy from the previous year. The actress is currently putting together a program to help women at high risk for breast cancer to meet the costs of an MRI and BRCA testing, which are expensive and not always covered by insurance.

Applegate will appear in an hour-long special, "Stand Up to Cancer," which will be aired on ABC, CBS and NBC on September 5 to raise funds and awareness for cancer research.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Britney Spears owes more than $466,000 in legal fees to the two law firms who represented her in the custody battle with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, according to the Associated Press. Additionally, Spears previously agreed to pay $250,000 to Federline's lawyers, bringing her total legal bill to around $716,000.

Attorney Stacy D. Phillips is seeking $407,000 for four months' worth of work on Spears' case, with an additional $125,000 being written off, while Laura Wasser, who took over the case in June, is seeking $60,000 for two months' work. Although Spears ultimately relinquished custody of her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, Wasser is credited with negotiating an agreement between Spears and Federline which allows the pop singer to spend more time with her two sons.

Any payments must be approved by a Los Angeles court commissioner, and attorneys representing Spears' and her father's interests stated last week in court that they intend to contest Phillips' bill.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - In their first public appearance since tying the knot, newlyweds Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi went to lunch at Real Food Daily in West Hollywood yesterday with de Rossi's mother, and chatted exclusively with X17 photographers before they sat down.

When asked how they were feeling, de Rossi shouted "amazing!" and DeGeneres said "married." DeGeneres added that she has "to get back to work," so perhaps a honeymoon in the near future is out of the question.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Some of the biggest names in Hollywood will soon be heading to Denver for the Democratic National Convention, which kicks off on August 25th. According to The Hollywood Reporter, this year's 4 day event may even "rival if not surpass" the star power of the 1960 and 1992 conventions, where candidates John F. Kennedy and Bill Clinton attracted an unusually large number of celebrities.

Those expected to attend the DNC include Ben Affleck, Josh Brolin, Charlize Theron, Annette Bening, Spike Lee, Anne Hathaway, Susan Sarandon, Richard Schiff and Kerry Washington. Studio execs such as Sony's Michael Lynton, DreamWorks' Jeffrey Katzenberg, Endeavor's Ari Emmanuel, and producer Lawrence Bender are expected to show up, and it should be noted that they have all served on Democratic candidate Barack Obama's National Finance Committee.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Victoria Beckham is furious at Now magazine for claiming that she uses diet pills, and she is taking legal action against them for what she calls "dangerous" and false reporting. The publication alleges that Beckham uses the drugs to keep her slender figure, and that her sister Louise brings the pills over from the UK.

Posh's publicist gave X17online the following statement:

"The accusation by Now Magazine (Aug 10) that Victoria Beckham is taking any kind of slimming pill is dangerous, defamatory and blatantly untrue. Victoria takes her position as a role model to young women very seriously and is horrified by this hurtful, fabricated story. It is now in the hand of her lawyers."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Dave Matthews Band saxophone player LeRoi Moore has died from the injuries he suffered in an all-terrain-vehicle accident, according to the Associated Press.

The band's publicist Ambrosia Healy confirmed that Moore died yesterday at the Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center. Moore, 46, had was hospitalized in late June after an accident on his farm outside Charlottesville, Viginia and had recently returned to his Los Angeles home to begin physical rehabilitation, but complications forced him back into the hospital.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Texas native Jessica Simpson will be the spokesperson for Dallas' Stampede Brewing Company's new drink, Stampede Light Plus, her publicist confirmed to X17online.

The beer was developed by fitness expert and former Anheuser-Busch marketing employee Lawrence Schwartz, as well as the creator of Miller Lite, the late Dr. Joseph Owades. The goal was to create a healthier beverage for beer lovers, and the formula is infused with B vitamins, folic acid and other "functional additives."

According to Access Hollywood, Jackson's lingerie line will be called Pleasure Principle, after her 1987 hit single of the same name. In an interview with Access Hollywood, the 36-year-old actress told reporter Tony Potts, “We’re so excited, obviously.” Garner added that the rumors about her pregnancy in recent weeks have made her giggle. “It always makes me laugh when people say ‘Is she?’ ‘Isn’t she?'" she said. "It’s like eventually you will know, so just chill out for a minute.”

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Matt Damon's wife Lucy just gave birth, and his rep released the following statement: "Matt and Lucy Damon had a baby girl named Gia Zavala on Wednesday, Aug. 20th. Everyone's doing great. She is a healthy baby girl."

Lucy was admitted to the Memorial Regional Hospital in Broward, Florida earlier today, according to the Miami Herald. Damon was spotted pacing the halls in scrubs, and a source for the paper reports that "a security guard was posted at the door and the atmosphere was tense."

The couple already have a 2-year-old daughter Isabella, and Luciana has a 9-year-old daughter, Alexia.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - The owner of the car that crashed into the Ford F150 driven by actor Shia LaBeouf on July 27 was cited on Friday, according to the Associated Press.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore told reporters yesterday that Simon Herbert, 21, was given a citation after his car failed to stop at a red light. It is still unclear as to whether or not Herbert was actually behind the wheel on the night of the accident.

LaBeouf's hand was smashed when his truck flipped over at the intersection of Fountain and La Brea. The 22-year-old actor spent several days in a hospital and required extensive surgery.

Chisholm announced on her website this morning that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Tom Starr. The Sticky & Sweet tour kicks off at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium in Wales tomorrow, with a two-hour set split into four acts.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Former 'N Sync singer JC Chasez tells People Magazine Britney Spears is getting her life back on track, and making progress to revive her music career. Chasez says, "As far as Britney getting back in the studio, [it's] obviously a good thing. If she's doing what she loves – because she's had a love for music for such a long time – [then] I'm all for it."

Chasez adds, "I'm glad she's pulling it together, because everybody falls down in life at one time or another. The toughest part is, how do you pick yourself up again? It looks like she's on the path to doing that – and it's a good thing to see."

Earlier this year, Spears' life appeared to be spiraling out of control, and she was hospitalized twice on a 5150 - an involuntary psychiatric hold in which a patient is deemed a danger to themselves or others. On February 1, Spears' father Jamie was appointed co-conservator and given control of her personal life and finances, and since then, the singer has made tremendous progress getting her life back on track. LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Amanda Bynes was involved in a minor car accident around 2:45pm on Saturday afternoon, and according to an LAPD spokesperson, she was at fault.

Bynes, 22, made an "unsafe" left turn at the corner of Crescent Heights and Oakwood when a white Ford Mustang ran into her 2008 BMW X5. The LAPD spokesperson said that it looked as though Bynes "may not have been paying attention." Additionally, "drugs and alcohol were not involved," and there was no serious damage to either car, but the other driver complained of minor injuries.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Tropic Thunder held onto the number one spot at the box office and earned $16.1 million over the weekend, bringing it's domestic gross to $65.7 million.

The House Bunny snagged the number two spot with $15.1 million, while Death Race claimed the number three spot with $12.3 million. The Dark Knight brought in $10.3 million in it's sixth weekend, bringing its total domestic earnings to $489.2 million.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Today ABC announced the 13 contestants who will compete on the seventh season of their hit reality television show, Dancing With The Stars.

Kim Kardashian and former 'N Sync member Lance Bass are among the most recognizable names on the cast, as well as Brooke Burke, Susan Lucci, singer Toni Braxton, comedian Jeffrey Ross and celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito. 82-year-old actress Cloris Leachman is the oldest contestant, while Hannah Montana actor Cody Linley, 18 is this season's youngest competitor.

Dancing With The Stars always includes several professional athletes each season, and they managed to get a stellar lineup this fall, including retired NFL football star Warren Sapp, and two Olympic gold medalists, beach volleyball star Misty May-Treanor and sprinter Maurice Greene.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Fox announced today that songwriter Kara DioGuardi will join Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul as a judge on the network's hit reality television show, American Idol.

In a statement, American Idol creator Simon Fuller called DioGuardi "a smart, sassy lady and one of America's most successful songwriters. We know she will bring a new level of energy and excitement to the show."

DioGuardi has written songs for Kelly Clarkson, Ashlee Simpson, Faith Hill, Santana, Celine Dion, Gwen Stefani and Kylie Minogue.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Victoria's Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio gave birth to a baby girl, Anja Louise Ambrosio Mazur on Sunday in Brazil. This is her first child with longtime boyfriend Jamie Mazur.

The supermodel released the following statement:

"To all of our family and friends, we are pleased to announce that our little princess Anja Louise Ambrosio Mazur was born on Sunday August 24 at 7:32 p.m. She is 6.3 pounds and absolutely perfect. LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Kate Hudson partnered up with hair guru David Babaii to make eco-friendly hair products for Wildaid, but 220 Laboratories is suing the actress, claiming that she took their secret recipe to a competitor when it came time to produce the goods.

According to E! Online, in a complaint filed on Friday, 220 Laboratories is taking 17 causes of action against Hudson and Babaii, including fraud, breach of contract, misappropriation of trade secrets and conspiracy to interfere with prospective business advantage, among other charges. 220 Laboratories claims Hudson and Babaii verbally agreed that the lab would serve as the sole providers of the line's raw materials, but after Wildaid switched around their management, Hudson and Babaii ditched them for a cheaper competitor. The lab is seeking compensatory and punitive damages as well as interest.

Kate's publicist Brad Cafarelli told E! Online:

"Kate and her attorneys are only just learning of the complaint, as Kate has not yet been served. Kate does not know the plaintiffs and has never met with them or spoken with them. Her representatives believe that the claims are baseless and without merit and intend to vigorously defend the lawsuit."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs wasn't actually on the yacht when the unfortunate incident occurred, but it is a vessel that he, Georgio Armani and Jack Nicholson have all used, so it very well could have been one of their famous faces that encountered a pirate attack in the Mediterranean Sea.

According to News Of The World, heavily armed pirates raided the luxury yacht frequently used by the rapper and robbed guests and crew of more than $200,000 in cash and jewelry. The $40 million yacht was anchored several miles away from southern Corsica when four masked men reportedly pulled up next to the boat forced their way on.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Actress Michelle Rodriguez will return to ABC's Lost for an episode this fall, according to Entertainment Weekly. Rodriguez's character Ana Lucia, who was killed off in the second season, will likely come back in a flashback or hallucination sequence in the series' fifth season.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Though a source for X17online exclusively reveals that Rihanna and her entourage left West Hollywood hotspot Villa with Leonardo DiCaprio last night, the 20-year-old singer and the Oscar-nominated actor are just friends. Rihanna started off the night at Coco de Ville and headed to Villa lounge, where she was then met up with DiCaprio, and went to his Hollywood home shortly after 2 a.m.

Rihanna has reportedly been dating fellow musician Chris Brown for over six months now, and Star is reporting that the two are ready to move in together. According to a source for the magazine, Rihanna has recently been looking at condos in the Los Angeles area to share with Brown, and she has even checked out units in Beverly Hills' Sierra Tower. "She and Chris want to live together," says the source. "They play their music loud though, so they want a condo that's soundproof."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - X17online already reported on the upcoming Britney Spears expose by Ian Halperin, and now the New York Times bestselling author has revealed more details in a recent interview.

Halperin went undercover as a photographer for 18 months when he wrote and researched Stalking Britney: Britney Under Siege, and he tells In Touch Weekly, “She’s on a high right now, but her life goes in circles. It’s like a roller coaster ride. She’s a person who is highly sensitive, and just one little thing could set her off.”

Halperin writes about how Britney attempted suicide four times after her split from ex-hubby Kevin Federline, and addresses her self-doubt and insecurities, which popped up in her early teen years. He tells the mag, “At 15, she had a huge breakdown and had to return home to Louisiana. She was very insecure and felt like she wasn’t pretty.” The solution? “She went on a huge diet.”

Though Britney has made remarkable progress over the past few months, and she's been photographed looking happier and healthier, Halperin believes she’s far from recovered. “There’s no doubt, based on the last two years, that she is a highly unstable person. She’s on a temporary high right now, but she’s never really dealt with all the problems she had. I don’t think it’s possible to turn over a new leaf just like that.”

Despite his somewhat pessimistic outlook, Halperin does say that Britney is a “good mother, and a good person...In fact, she’s nicer than most of the stars I’ve met. But as Britney once told me herself, her life has always been two steps forward, followed by one step back.”

Halperin has penned similar books about Celine Dion and Kurt Cobain, as well as exposes revealing the dark and dirty secrets of Hollywood, supermodels and other high-profile individuals.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - After recent reports that Samantha Ronson is penning a tell-all book that includes details of her relationship with actress Lindsay Lohan, Lindsay's father Michael spoke exclusively to X17online about Ronson, his daughter's alleged substance abuse, his ex-wife Dina, and what he's willing to do to find a solution to his daughter's problems.

When asked if it's true that Ronson is writing the book, Lohan said he believed the reports and added, "Samantha's a control freak and she's using Lindsay to further her career. Lindsay's been sold out by so many people in the past, Sam would just be another name on the list."

Michael adds that Ronson is "feeding Lindsay alcohol behind the scenes, but that's really Lindsay's fault for taking it - it's not about drugs or alcohol. A person can be a drug and Sam is a drug. She's very controlling and manipulative and it's not a healthy relationship for Lindsay."

When asked about Lindsay's mother Dina, Lohan responds, "I blame a lot of Lindsay's problems on Dina - she's two-faced and plays both sides of the coin. She tells me it's important to get Sam out of Lindsay's life and then she turns around and has dinner with them!"

Finally, when asked if he's attacking Ronson simply because he doesn't approve of her gay relationship with Lindsay, Lohan responds, "That's not the reason at all. Lindsay is fragile and Sam takes advantage of her and the relationship is too intense and too dramatic. Sam and Dina are probably the two worst people Lindsay could be around right now...along with her friend Patrick...As long as Sam's in Lindsay's life, Lindsay will never be able to reach the potential God gave her."

Lohan continues, "It's not about Sam giving Lindsay drugs or alcohol or anything - there are prescription drugs from doctors - psychotropic drugs, antidepressants - that have a serious effect on a person. And I would like to put that out there. These things can mess with a person's mind. I see some parallels between Britney and Lindsay - the instability, the domineering companion. Lindsay's not in the state that Britney was or is, but there are minor similarities. Just because a person's not abusing drugs or alcohol doesn't mean they're healthy. And Lindsay being with Sam is making matters worse. I would sacrifice my own life to get Sam out of Lindsay's."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - West Wing and Studio 60 writer Aaron Sorkin is currently in negotiations to write an untitled film about the founders of Facebook, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Sorkin broke the news when he created his own Facebook group last week. On the page he writes, "I've just agreed to write a movie for Sony and producer Scott Rudin about how Facebook was invented. I figured a good first step in my preparation would be finding out what Facebook is, so I've started this page." Sorkin even asks group members to share their own Facebook stories.

Facebook was founded by Mark Zuckerberg and his Harvard roommates, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes. Initially, only Harvard students could join, but the networking site quickly expanded to all Ivy League schools and then all universities in the United States. The next step was adding all high schools in the U.S. and Canada, and now over 100 million people all over the globe are members.

The 34-year-old supermodel discusses her image, her Topshop fashion line, as well as famous faces she's encountered over the years.

On being too skinny:
"When I was doing shows and flying economy and no one ever fed me. Or I'd be staying in hotels so cheap that by the time I'd get in, there wasn't any room service. I didn't eat for a long time. Not on purpose. You'd be on shoots with bad good or get on a plane, and the food would be so disgusting you couldn't eat it. You go to a show, and there's not food at all, so if you're doing shows back to back, you can forget eating. I remember standing up in the bath one day, and there was a mirror in front of me, and I was so thin! I hated it. I never liked being that skinny...I was never anorexic, so I was never that skinny. I was never bony-bony. But I remember thinking, I don't want to be this skinny."

On breast implants:
"They are awful. So many of my friends have had them, and they've gone wrong...And most of them are so hard you can knock on them like a door. I'm not into them. I mean if I got all saggy, like the sacks some women have after they have children, I'd have them done. I'm not against them, but if you have normal ones, just to have them enlarged for the sake of having big ones...I don't really like big t*ts anyway."

On her flaws:
"Corinne Day made me less self-conscious of myself. I was 15, and she'd make me take off my top, and I'd cry. After five years, you get used to it, and you're not conscious about your flaws. Bowlegs, crooked teeth. That is what makes you different from everyone else. But when I was 15, I was like, 'Oh no, I don't want to be different. I want to have big t*ts! I want to look like Cindy Crawford!'"
