LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Academy Award winning actor Morgan Freeman is getting a divorce from his wife of 24 years, according to Access Hollywood.

Bill Luckett, Freeman's attorney and business partner tells the show that Freeman and his estranged wife Myrna Colley-Lee, “are involved in a divorce action...And for legal and practical purposes, [Freeman and Colley-Lee] have been separated since December of 2007.”

On Sunday, Freeman was involved in a car crash in which his vehicle went off the road and flipped over, leaving him in serious condition. Freeman was accompanied by a Demaris Meyer, and the two were on their way to the actor's house when the accident occurred.
