Jury Finds Phil Spector Guilty of Murder

Spector_Guilty200.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Legendary music producer Phil Spector has been found guilty of second degree murder in the death of aspiring actress Lana Clarkson.

Spector, 69, faces 25 years to life in prison for his role in the 2003 death of Clarkson who he met at a Hollywood nightclub.

A previous trial ended in September 2007, when a jury deadlocked 10 to 2 in favor of conviction.

The defense had argued the Clarkson, despondent over a failed acting career, shot herself in the foyer of Spector's Alhambra, Calif home.

Spector was taken into custody after the verdict was announced. Sentencing is scheduled for May 29th.
