Jessica Simpson's Dog Snatched By Coyote
(09/15/09 8:06 AM)
LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Jessica Simpson is distraught after her beloved dog Daisy was snatched by a coyote Saturday night right in front of her eyes.
Jessica tweeted yesterday, "My heart is broken because a coyote took my precious Daisy right in front of our eyes. HORROR! We are searching. Hoping. Please help!"
Jessica's neighbors tell X17online exclusively, "That evening [Saturday], we heard yelling and screaming coming from the direction of Jessica's house around 9 pm. I can only imagine that it was that moment that it happened...because the next day we saw posters up around the neighborhood announcing that Jessica had lost her dog to a coyote. It's so sad."
The posters, which Jessica has also made available online say, "Missing Malti-Poo. Caramel colored. Reward offered. Please e-mail any info to findingmissdaisy@gmail.com"

Are you freakin kidding me? The dog got snatched by a coyote. Chances of it being alive are like ZERO! But just in case... lets put up posters and offer a reward! I always thought she was a little off in the head. This just confirms it.
This happens all the time. She's a ditz, but that dog is now coyote poop, no doubt. It was probably dead before it was out of sight.
It's obvious that "Dawn" and "Anonymous" have never truly loved a pet...shame on them. Sure Jessica isn't the sharpest tool in the shed but she's just trying to hold on to hope for her beloved companion. Have a heart people.
Was it's name Wyle E. ? Might want to call ACME to see if a crazy coyote has been hanging around.
I have two pets that I love dearly. But if they got snatched by a wild animal, I wouldnt be dumb enough to put up "missing" posters. I have a heart AND also a brain! I hate that the little guy got eaten, but this is common sense. It has nothing to do with not loving animals.
Jess should be more concerned with whatever animal made off with her career.
When we lived in CA, we made sure our pets WERE NOT out of our sight in the pre-dark early evening. We knew coyotes' were on the prowl. Shame on her for not doing the same.Too bad for the poor dog.

my dog was on a leash and the coyote just snapped him right out of my hand. This was on Linda Flora. He was found the next day with broken neck.
The coyotes are not being control because of all the tree huggers and PETA. Heck the poor coyote was hungry give him a break. Just be glad it wasnt somebodies child!
Being an animal lover myself, I really feel bad for her....I can't imagine watching this happen, she must have felt to helpless. Shame on those of you making fun of her, grow up.
If something happened like that to my Stanley, I would be devestated!!
Coyotes (and bears and mountain lions) survive in urban locations because they have no natural enemies. When they are poisoned or shot we complain about destroying nature. We can't have it both ways and must be smart enough to protect our pets and children.
Who the heck are the neighbors, that didnt go investigate or even call 911 when they heard screaming coming from her house? What an indictment about todays "neighbor"! SAD!
nana in TX - says the dog was snatched in front of her eyes, so she was watching.
Sometimes, on very rare occassions a dog/coyote/mammal that loses one of it's own will *steal or adopt* a replacement.
Maybe Jess is hoping for a miracle.
I can't imagine her pain. But off topic, this message boards really point out the low animal nature of man. So many thinking they're just so funny!!
What a bunch of jerks.
What a bunch of complete jerks you people are. How sad that so many have nothing better to do than bash someone who lost a beloved pet. Certainly makes me realize how many pathetic losers there are out there. I would do the same thing in her situation...try anything I could if there was even the smallest chance the dog could've survived. I'm amazed at the cruelty and thoughtlessness that is so pervasive in the world.
I am so sad for both Jessica and poor little Daisy. My heart absolutely aches...what a tragedy. One thing I truly admired about Jessica was how she loved her dog...
OF COURSE hang a poster - her dog is actually not that small. My friend had a smaller dog snatched and the coyote dropped the dog in the chase ( she survived). I know its a long shot, but a dog is a family member you need to have some hope.
I feel so bad for Jessica and Daisy. I have a 2 year old female maltipoo that looks just like daisy. I would be so sad if anything happened to her. I hope Jessica finds her.

I feel sad for her -- I know how I would feel if something like that happened to either of my Lhasas. Like Jessica, I hope the little girl somehow squirmed loose and is roaming around waiting for someone to find her. I certainly wish the best for Jessica and Daisy. Neither deserves the pain.
Coyotes stealing pets in CA has been an ongoing problem for YEARS!!! As mom of a little Yorkie (named Daisy too) and a Pekingese, I would be extremely horrorfied if I had to watch either one of them have this happen! You people are so f'in cruel to sit here and bash her! She is trying to grasp onto any possibility her dog may have survived. I am sure she feels powerless, but small hope may make her feel a little bit better. And uhh, a leash doesn't make much of a difference. A hungry coyote can be quite fast! Do yourself and society a favor and refrain from becoming a pet owner, you idiots obviously have no heart! To Jess, keep your head up!
What a sad story and to loose your pet dog like that has got to be upsetting. Out where I live I always walk out at night with my dogs because there are many of coyotes roaming around here. Hopefully they will find Jessica's dog.
