While not the stand-up thing to do, if he wasn't married at the time, it technically wasn't cheating. However, sex with subordinates (or anyone at work)is pretty stupid. Should have used more discretion, brains.

It's funny how some keep saying...he was single..what he did was ok. He and his wife may not have been married yet...but they were together when this happened. If you're in a relationship with someone and you're fooling around with your assistant on the side...it's cheating.

Letterman is a weasel and has been for years. I watched him for years and stopped last year because I no longer find him funny. Somewhere along the line, he began to believe that he was smarter than his audience. Cher had him pegged years ago when she refused to go on his show because she thought he was an a**hole. She had him figured out long before most of America.

Letterman's humor used to be quirky, self-depricating, and refreshing. Something happened. Now he's mean, hateful, and the unforgivable sin for a comedian--just not funny. Because of this, I quit watching his show regularly almost 3 years ago.

Who cares and tis none of our business. He did apologize to Palin this week. Good grief the world is full of sinners and I admire him telling us vs reading all about it. He is going to have to live with what he did so be somewhat forgiving since all of you have been forgiven of all your transgressions.

He is such a sick and egotistical person. He actually believes that the American public sees him as an idol and is really interested in his pathetic rhetoric purporting to be 'the victim'. How sad - and certainly not funny....
