well, i know that if I was married to Kate, I would have divorced her a long time ago, totally on Jon's side. Kate is greedy, self centered, and wants money, more money, and wants to be a celebrity. That is all that matters to her. Look at the way she was always cutting down Jon. My husband would not tolerate that for one day let alone on t.v. Go Jon, stick up for your kids, cause Kate isn't going to.

Jon - get a job to support those eight children. You know - work to pay the bills. Maybe you heard about working for a living and taking responsibility. Oh no. Sorry. That was Kate who was doing that.

Put an end to the show. The children are paying the highest price here. Let Kate & Jon move on with their separate lives, shows or whatever they deem necessary for themselves to be in the lime light. This is a very sad day for the children. TLC cut your losses and do the right thing, these eight children need someone other than their parents to look out for them. Starting with TLC.

If TLC was smart they would cancel the show completely and let this family work out their problems in private instead of the whole world seeing it. Think of the children and not your ratings. That show is the only way Kate and Jon, and yes, I said 'and' Jon can afford to raise their family with a pretty good lifestyle, opportunities to travel and go on vacations with their children, etc. Definitely not a luxurious lifestyle but a middle class lifestyle. There is no job that Jon could get which would afford this family the opportunities they've had provided by the show. Kate is pulling the majority of the load. She may seem controlling of Jon, but only because being married to him I'm sure was like having a 9th child. The guy is not the brightest bulb in the lamp!! Kate probably knew of Jon's philandering during their marriage long before the public knew about it, and I give her a high five for sticking with him because she wanted the family to stay 'in tact'. Is this reality show a circus? Probably. The underlying fact here is that we all know Kate will do practically anything she has to do to provide for her children. If she has to do a reality show to make ends meet, so be it.....I'd do the same thing!!

The first thing I thought when I read this article? "Good for you Jon!" Kate is probably the 3rd most hated woman in the world (1st & 2nd are Casey and Cindy Anthony)!

I can understand starting the show. At the time, it probably seemed like easy money, as well as pretty exciting, and that's a lot of mouths to feed. Now its just a shame that Jon cannot act like a man and live up to his obligations. Everyone was always slamming on Kate for constantly getting on Jon's case, but now we see he probably needed it! The man is worthless if she isn't telling him what to do! No initative! You can tell by the look on his face that he wants to be somewhere else. I believe dropping the father from the name of the show isn't the right thing to do. The children have two parents and a network making or suggesting that its what they are doing- when the kids will be watching the show later in life- to me that is taking away thier father from the credits. If the network wants net worth- and we all know they do, they ought to consider the fathers on this planet. Knock off the using these adorable small children, who DO LOVE BOTH THIER PARENTS, and take the high road for the children sake. There would be something to RESPECT in that. After all these sorts of shows are using the children to make MONEY- like it or not. I am a woman, this is my point of view, and I feel strongly about this. What ever goes on between these two parents is their problem- but if I were a child I wouldn't want a network choosing the name of a show that DROPS MY DAD,and has me on it in my childhood without my right to even understand it- or make the choice!The name calling in a divorce is usually going to happen- but the name calling from the public and involving themselves in this divorce and relationship is bringing me to the conclusion that they have relationship issues that they are taking out on this couple But why must a network stoop to that level, taking a father out of the title of a show when kids obviously are going to LOVE and WANT both parents in thier lives.
