JLo200.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Jennifer Lopez is taking her Christian Louboutins...and her music career elsewhere. The mom of two has decided to part ways with Sony's Epic Records.

Lopez's manager Benny Medina released this statement:

"Jennifer had a wonderful relationship with the Sony Music Group, and they have shared many successes together, but the time was right to make a change that best serves the direction of her career as an actress and recording artist, she is grateful and appreciative to everyone at Sony for all that they accomplished together."

J-Lo's seventh studio album called Love? was scheduled for an April release. But now with no record label, will this cause a hiccup in the plans? Reports claim that Love? has yet to be completed, but according to her reps, they're already shopping for a new label that will keep her plans on track.

The exact cause of the split between Lopez and the Sony Music Group is still unknown, but the official word for now is that her contract expired and Sony decided not to renew.

Even with her label drama, J-Lo is remaining in the spotlight. This weekend she'll be on Saturday Night Live as both host and musical guest.
