hendricks200.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Mad Men creator and writer Matt Weiner announced that the AMC show will not go beyond six seasons. Weiner made the announcement at the National Association of Broadcasters convention in Vegas.

The series, which chronicles the lives of marketing executives in the 60's, has won numerous awards including three Golden Globe Awards for Best Television Series.

Weiner says that although the AMC show is now in its fourth season, he feels as though the fans will want to see it stick around. By ending at six years, he tells those in attendance that this will hopefully help the show "end on a high note."

Mad Men star Christina Hendricks, known for her 1960's-like curvy figure, is currently featured on the cover of Esquire magazine's Women issue.
