Douglass' ex-wife Diandra filed a complaint in June which stated that the divorce agreement contained a clause to give her money from any "spinoffs" of Douglas' movies during their two decades of marriage, including the 1987 blockbuster Wall Street.

The judge told Diandra she'd picked the wrong state for this kind of complaint and dismissed the case completely. She can now re-file in California where the case may have a chance, but Douglas' lawyer, Marilyn Chinitz says if she does, "She's going to lose on the merits."

Needless to say, Douglas is happy with today's outcome in court. Chinitz added in a statement: "He's thrilled. This is the right decision… this action should have never been brought in the first place."

Douglas is currently battling Stage 4 throat cancer but Chinitz says he "sounded great" when he called to give the actor the good news.

Douglas' next film Haywire, which follows a black ops super soldier who is seeking payback after she is betrayed and set up during a mission, will be released in 2011.
