Working Title Films, the British production company behind the first two Bridget Jones films, confirmed to EW that a third installment of Bridget Jones is in the works.

The Bridget Jones series is based on novels by Helen Fielding, who revealed to the London Evening Standard in March that she had begun writing a third installment.

Though no other details about the Bridget Jones flick have been released, cast member Colin Firth divulged a number of details about the storyline to Access Hollywood last year.

“I can tell you that Bridget and Mark can’t have children, I think that’s the way it goes on,” Firth hinted. “So then she makes the huge mistake of going back to Daniel Cleaver [played by Hugh Grant] for long enough to get pregnant. And I think he dumps her, and she’s left stranded, and guess who comes back to rescue her?”

The first two Bridget Jones films were both international sensations; the first, released in 2001, grossed a reported $281 million, and the second, released in 2004, grossed $262 million.
