McDonald's To Launch 'The McDonald's Channel' In Participating Restaurants

mcdonalds200.jpgNEW YORK, New York (X17online) - McDonald’s has announced their plan to launch The McDonald’s Channel in its restaurant locations around the country.

The TV network will air local news, sports, and entertainment features and is expected to reach up to 20 million customers a month.

Original content providers include Mark Burnett’s digital production company Vimby, BBC America, and KABC-TV, with programming like The McDonald's Achievers, which profiles local high school and college athletes; Mighty Moms, which tells the stories of local working mothers; and McDonald's Channel Music News.

Participating restaurants will contain two 42- to 46-inch HD TV screens that will be visible from 70 percent of eating areas.
