The cast, who continue to build on their record for most entries on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart, reached this milestone a mere four months after celebrating their 300th musical performance on the hit Fox show.

To date, Glee has sold more than 42 million songs and more than 12 million albums worldwide. The series has two platinum albums and three gold albums. Glee: The Music, Volume 4, even picked up a Grammy nomination for best compilation soundtrack for visual media.

"There has never been anything like Glee. The idea that 58 episodes of a television show can generate sales of 32 million downloads is simply staggering. We are deeply indebted to all the artists and songwriters whose music inspires us all," Columbia Records soundtrack executive Glen Brunman said of the series.

The Riley-fronted cover of Dolly Parton/Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" sold nearly 45,300 tracks when it aired mere days after Whitney Houston's Feb 11 death.

Glee is back with its spring premiere on Tuesday, April 10 at 8 pm on Fox.
