Katie Couric To Host Good Morning America For A Week

KCouric052708_01_200.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Katie Couric is making a brief comeback to network morning news as the former Today co-host will host Good Morning America on the week of April 2.

The CBS Evening News anchor will fill in for Robin Roberts while she's on vacation, placing her next to George Stephanopoulos. The news was announced during Thursday morning's broadcast and Couric helped spread the word with her Twitter account.

“Serious pressure filling in for the fab @RobinRoberts!” Couric tweeted Thursday. “Rise + shine! Excited to be back on morning TV next wk, guest hosting @GMA w/ @GStephanopoulos.”

Couric has acted as a special correspondent for GMA and Nightline in the past and will host her own syndicated talk show, Katie, starting this fall.
