Actor-producer Donovan Leitch and Alex Mardikian, Dotcom's friend, are in the process of producing a documentary about Dotcom, tentatively titled Mega Conspiracy. Negotiations are underway for Marc Levin (Prayer for a Perfect Season) to direct the project alongside the Leitch and Mardikian.

According to Leitch and Mardikian, journalist Neil Strauss is working on a biography for Dotcom. Strauss, a former New York Times music writer, co-wrote memoirs for Jenna Jameson, Marilyn Manson and Dave Navarro to name a few and jumped aboard the idea thanks to Leitch's influence.

Dotcom has been accused of copyright infringement through his Megaupload file-sharing service, causing more than $500 million in losses to copyright holders. The documentary will examine the case as well as the internet and content ownership.
