The Barbados-born pop star hired the firm to handle her accounts after skyrocketing to fame at the young age of sixteen, and apparently the financiers cheated her out of "tens of millions of dollars in lost revenues and profits."

The company was charging her 23 percent of her whole touring income, while the "Rude Boy" singer herself was receiving a mere 6 percent. They also hid the true state of her finances and encouraged her to invest in real estate that ultimately resulted in a $2 million loss.

Although RiRi fired the firm in 2010, the IRS is now examining her 2008 and 2012 tax returns, which has prompted the 24-year-old to seek an unspecified amount in damages from now retired Berdon, Mitnick, and Peter Gounis.
