Anne Hathaway, who looks breathtaking on the cover of Harper's Bazaar's latest issue, is responding to James Franco's comments during his recent appearance on Letterman ... in which he described her a "tasmanian devel." Franco's harsh words referred to his experience working alongside the 28-year-old actress while hosting the Oscars.
Ms. Hathaway tells the mag:
- “I let James know that a whirling dervish is a more flattering comparison than a Tasmanian devil. I called him, and we e-mailed a bit. In the grand scheme of things, I got to have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I met great people, wore beautiful clothes. And I got to put on a show. I don’t see a downside. Anyone who disliked my personality probably disliked my personality before the Oscars.â€Â
Anne is also opening up about her current relationship with boyfriend Adam Shulman. Read what she had to say ... after the jump.

Anne tells the mag:
- "So far, it’s worked out great."
As for previously getting caught up in the intensity of falling in love, she adds:
- "Which has its wonderful side, of course ... but also it was exhausting, and sometimes it would freak me out. Mellow doesn’t always make for a good story, but it makes for a good life.â€Â
