I am a stay-at-home-mother of a 19-month-old baby. I can not even for a second imagine being with my daughter all day, giving her 100% of my attention and love, then go out every night until 5 AM. Her children are the ones suffering. My 19-month-old daughher knows the whole alphabet, she knows every single letter, if it is upper case or lower case. I work with her every day. Children's education starts on day one. We've listen to Mozart since the day she was born. My husband and I are fortunate enough that we can afford for me to stay at home with her. Britney has enough money to do the same for her children. She can work with them, explore the world with them, and learn a thing or to about herself as a woman along the way. She is missing such an opportunity to teach her children. Does she even read to them? Does she read them a morning book as soon as they wake up?
I can not believe how fast time has flown by, that my little girl is already 19 months. Her two little boys are going to grow up in a flash, she will never get this time back to count their little toes, sing nursey rhymes. She is focusing on what she missed??? Partying?? I am a mother of a 16 month old. I do work fulltime though. I take excellent care of my daughter and am home with her every night. I do go out every once in a while, but no where near the extent that Britney does. I do think she parties way too much and needs to dedicate more time to her children. This does not help when you are going to court to fight for custody of young children when the lawyers and judges see this type of behavior. I'm not bashing the fans but guys....wake up!!

As for having a career, I applaud all working mother, or any mother in general, that is the hardest job in the world.

Wow!! I am so shocked at all of the reactions out there. But, one thing it shows is just how different people are in all area's of their life. Especially, when it comes to raising children. I didn't have a child until I was 39 years old. But one thing I have observed over all of the years of my life, I am 53 now, is that there have been smart, talented and great kids raised from all types of parents, all with different types of parenting skills. I have seen brillant parents with great jobs that had kids who were sorry and uninterested in contributing anything to society. Then I have seen some kids that were straight A students that were not only smart but top notch artist or atheletes. I do agree that education begins at home but there is so much more to life than that. To be a whole person you have to expose your child to society. If you are not exposed to the real world, being a brainiac is going to do you no good, if you can't function around all type of people. It is important to let your children explore and try different things, which includes getting out in the real world. I do agree that Brit parties too much and wonder if she is aware of how this may affect her custody battle. But I don't know how she spends her at home time with her kids. She may be reading to them and playing mozart.......I truly don't know. I have seen parents that pushed their kids to be the smartest kid in school and it backfire on them because of not allowing their child not to test other things that he/she may be interested or even talented in. There is no black and white way to parent. Each child is an individual, with individual talents and this is what makes them unique and special. There is things that are universal though,in raising children. They all need discipline, boundaries, attention, availability from their parents, support and above all LOVE. Not everybody is a brainiac, crafty and above all, able to be a stay at home parent but doing your best is what is important.
