Actually, it's pretty common place these days to wear black to a wedding. Especially a formal one. I've been to several in the last few years and there were lots of people wearing black. A lot of brides now have their bridal party wear black so the girls can actually wear the dresses again. As a maid of honor in one such wedding, I was very appreciative! It's only fair - the guys get to wear black! ;)
