The "Not Over You" singer was released from Bellevue Hospital Tuesday morning. Just hours after being released, Gavin sent his first Tweet, thanking fans for their support. He wrote:
- "Hi my friends. Honestly, I don't remember much. I only know I can recover from here. Thank u all for your genuine concern. I love u guys."
According to his official website, he had been taken to the hospital late Sunday night after being attacked by a group of strangers in the East Village. He had stumbled about a mile away, where he was then hit by a taxi. An ambulance had originally taken him to Bellevue, where he was treated for a concussion, broken nose, black eyes, cuts and bruises. Police are conducting an investigation.
