Mel Gibson will not be portraying a tattoo artist in the upcoming Hangover 2, according to the movie's director, Todd Phillips.
Reports claim that the rest of the cast wasn't happy about Gibson being included in the film ... in light of his recent domestic issues with Oksana Grigorieva.
Phillips, who will be directing Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis in the sequel, just released the following statement about Mel's departure from the film:
- "I thought Mel would have been great in the movie and I had the full backing of Jeff Robinov and his team. But I realize filmmaking is a collaborative effort, and this decision ultimately did not have the full support of my entire cast and crew."
Guess majority wins.
