She had to do something after Keith made the comment about not seeing the kids as much as most other stepfathers probably do. Leading people to conclude that the kids do in fact live with their father. People have been wondering about those kids long before Keith Urban ever came onto the scene. I don't remember ever seeing anything about sightings of the kids in Nashville at all last year. And he's been out of rehab for 3 months now and living in LA. How many sightings have their been with either one of them with the kids? Other than when Nicole had the accident on set in January.
From some of the photos I saw of the awards show, the kids looked bored out their minds. Bella even brought along a friend. I think Nicole wanting to be "barefoot and pregnant" is just a PR line for her now. If that were true, why would she be signing on for movie role after movie role. Too bad for Keith Urban who does really seem to want kids. He was great with Niki Taylor's kids. Even bringing them on stage at his concerts. And acknowledging them at the Grammys one year.

I do not agree...I think that she doesn't have a choice when she sees the kids. Did u see the pictures of them sitting together? They are quite akward together. Can you imagine what those kids are fed on a daily basis? I do agree, though..she's looking kind of rough lately!

The truth of the matter is that Nicole sees her kids a lot, people don't see it because unlike Tommy Boy, Nicole only rarely allows their photos to be taken!!

She's very private"-- hmm.. if she's so private how come there are pix of her honeymoon, his rehab and countless other "intimate" moments? it seems like shes rarely ever with her children. ive noticed that too.

if she spends frequent time with them, its either behind closed doors, or the paparazzi keep missing her outings in public with them (but interestingly keep catching her outings with her hubby on film). apart from them being at her wedding, and one or two other times, i cant remember ever seeing her spending time with them. tom on the other hand seems to be with them 24/7. and he was pictured with them a lot before tomkat too, whoever said he wasnt, he was, its just tomkat brought him smack bam into the medias eye and everyone cared more...i saw numerous sets of him with them when he was with penelope etc. hes always spent time with them. she on the other hand, seems to forget she has kids most of the time.

If you all have kids maybe you should spend every waking second you have wiht them. Think about that. Her kids are getting ot the age when they don't want to spend every second with either parent! You didn't see a lot of photos of Tom, Nicole, and their children because while they were married, Nicole would not allow their kids to be used for his publicity stunts. She still will not allow them to be used when she has the kids.

Tom is a control freak, of course, but he doesn't control the universe or the court system. How did he "make her sign" things? Did he put a gun to her head? You can always modify custody of the kids as long as you show it's in their best interest. Bottom line, you fight for your kids and their well-being. What kind of upbringing do they have with Tom? He probably teaches them to hate their mother who's not a Scientologist. Even if he refuses to let her see the kids more, he doesn't have the final word on what the kids can or can't do (unless the court gave him this power). I doubt she's with them a lot--she can't avoid being seen and she DOES use them for PR when she wants to. Nobody beats Cruise when it comes to media manipulation but Nicole learned some tricks from him as well.

Tom is notorious for using his kids for PR purposes. He's been known to call the paps to let them know when he'll be in public with them. Nicole doesnt do that. But otherwise, the evidence is that the kids are doing well, and that's what matters.

Besides, both Conor and Bella attend school in Los Angeles. Nic doesn't yank them out and away from their classes and extracurricular activities to travel with her. She lives in Nashville with her husband.

Conor and Bella see their mother often, and she makes frequent special trips to see them in LA. But while in school, they're with Tom most of the time.

Tom and Nic have worked out arrangements that benefit the kids, not to satisfy gossipers.

Nicole refuses to let her children be photographed by paparazzi and goes out of her way to avoid them being pictured and getting in the press? funny, cause she posed with them at the kids choice awards yesterday. so their privacy isnt the reason we dont get pics often. its because shes never with them, her fans are in denial haha. but believe it or not Tom cant control access to the children because they are hers too, she still has access, he cant refuse her it, she just doesnt see them that much, because she works often and spends time with her husband often.
