One of the most endearing themes of Nicole Richie and Joel Madden's furtive attempt at a relationship has to be the way we keep catching them in the middle of activities clearly chosen by Nicole - I mean, just how enthusiastic must a bad boy like Joel have been to do some shopping at Maxfields? (My guess is "somewhere around as excited as he was to see Dreamgirls"!) 
We know who wears the size zeros in this relationship
"Next time, I get to pick what we do"
Hopefully they won't break up before we get photos of Nicole at a Misfits show - hey, it's only fair!
