LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Ryan O'Neal and his son Redmond have been arrested on suspicion of narcotics possession. The pair were taken into custody at the actor's Malibu home Wednesday morning according to authorities.

Sheriff's deputies say they were performing a probation search when they found Redmond O'Neal, 24, in possession of methamphetamine and discovered a vial of methamphetamine in the elder O'Neal's bedroom.

Father and son were arrested and booked at the Malibu Sheriff's station. Bail was set at $10,000.

Both men have been arrested before. Redmond, whose mother is actress Farrah Fawcett, was arrested last year on drug and DUI charges in Malibu, according to "The Los Angeles Times."

Ryan O'Neal, 67, was arrested last year on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and negligent discharge of a firearm after firing a gunshot during an argument with another son, Griffin O'Neal.

And earlier this summer, Ryan's daughter Tatum O'Neal was arrested for buying crack cocaine in New York city.
