JK Rowling's "Beedle The Bard" Top Selling Book of 2008

 BeedleBard200.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling's new collection of stories "The Tales of Beedle the Bard" has become the fastest selling book of 2008, with more than 2.6 million copies purchased in less than two weeks.

Rowling is donating all of the book's profits, so far about $6.5 million, to charity.

Beedle the Bard is a collection of five fairy tales and is mentioned in the final Potter book "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" as having been left to the boy wizard's friend Hermione by Albus Dumbledore, headmaster of Hogwarts school.
