Joe Jackson Says Michael Could Never Have Completed London Concert Series
(07/14/09 11:00 AM)
LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Had he lived, Michael Jackson would be performing the second night of his 50 concert run at London's O2 Arena on Tuesday night.
But Jackson's father Joe says he doesn't believe Michael would have ever been able to complete all the scheduled performances.
"The comeback tour was a good idea, but the wrong idea about it; there was more tours added onto it," Joe Jackson told ABC News. "I was worried about his health. No artist can do those many shows back to back like that, and so I knew Michael couldn't do all those shows."
Executives at AEG, the company who was producing the concert series, said Jackson was the one who insisted on adding the additional shows. And Jackson's manager agrees, "He built up his stamina. There would have been no problems, I don't think, with him doing this tour, Frank DiLeo said. "Nobody was pushing him into it. Nobody was overworking him."
Meanwhile, fans marked what would have been Jackson's opening night with an impromptu vigil outside the O2 arena.

JOE- YOU PLAYED YOUR PART, IN MICHEAL'S DEATH BY BEATING HIM AS A CHILD I HEAR. YOU HELPED KILL YOUR OWN SON
Go home and shut up, Joe Jackson! You are making money off your son's death! Also idea putting Micheal's children on stage and making them become Jackson 3 is WRONG!
this dispells the rumour that Michael and Diana Ross were the same person.
Apparently they are renaming Albany Children's Hospital to Michael Jackson Children's Hospital --Ironic
What a sick person are U - the idea of "Jackson 3" !!!
Anyone who are parents - would be so-so sad to hear this!
The Haters have arisen fron the gates of Hell, Michael was a Human Being first. You ignorant S.O.B.'s
Joe made fun of Michael's appearance and Michael had multiple plastic surgeries.
Joe failed to protect Michael's childhood and Michael tried to recreate what he'd lost. Joe beat Michael as a child & shamelessly overexposed him for money. Michael tried to "heal the world" and give his own children some anonymity by covering their faces. I'm not making excuses for Michael's behavior. However, I think a child like Michael, with too much talent, would need a parent to be appropriately protective, to be on their side and help them "deal" with the real world. I do not feel Joe was the best one for the job in the first place and then it seems he was blinded by a love for money. It seems to me that an extraordinarily talented and inherently gentle human being was ruined by greed. Just my humble opinion.
