Howard K. Stern Found Guilty In Anna Nicole Smith Drug Trial

ANSMITH061205_01_200.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (x17online) - Anna Nicole Smith's former lawyer/boyfriend Howard K. Stern was found guilty of two counts of conspiracy today in a Los Angeles courthouse, for enabling Smith's prescription drug problem.

Stern, along with Smith's two doctors, Khristine Eroshevich and Sandeep Kapoor, were all charged with conspiring to enable Smith's drug addiction, and their use of various aliases to obtain these prescriptions. Eroshevich was convicted of four counts, while Kapoor was cleared of all counts.

After the hearing Stern told reporters outside of court, "Everything related to the appropriateness of the medication, I was acquitted of."

Howard K. Stern was acquitted of seven other charges involving Smith, and is currently free pending an appeal. He is due back in court January 6 for sentencing.
