transformers200.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Gabriela Cedillo, the extra who suffered brain damage on the set of Transformers 3, is now suing Paramount Pictures for negligence.

According to the papers, Cedillo claims the studio "breached a duty of care" by failing to secure a thick slab of metal that broke apart from a stunt car and sliced her brain.

Paramount Pictures released the following statement:

"Our thoughts, prayers and best wishes are with Gabriela, her family and loved ones. The production will continue to provide all the help we can to Gabriela and her family during this difficult time."

Cedillo's lawyer, Todd A. Smith, says his client is now partially paralyzed and unable to speak as a result of the accident. The lawsuit was brought on by Cedillo's brother, Adolfo Romo.
