The 93-year-old actress' ninth husband told the media he made the decision on Saturday, when his wife returned home from the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center after having her surgery.

Prince Von Anhalt revealed to the Los Angeles Times:

"The upkeep alone per month on the house is $35,000. It gives me a big headache, and I cannot afford to keep paying it."

That's a lot of dough the pair could use for medical bills, so we can see why they're letting the mansion go after so many years. The place also has a ton of history. Von Anhalt reveals:

"Ronald Regan was sitting here, Queen Elizabeth was sitting here, Prince Phillip was sitting here, Nancy Regan was here, Lady Fairfax here, Sinatra's over here, my wife was sitting here and I was sitting here. If this table could talk... This is history."

There is only one condition the Prince insists on before handing over the keys to his palace: his wife of 15 years will be allowed to live in the house for the rest of her life. If the 93-year-old actress keeps her health up, the potential buyer may have a few years to wait. Ms. Gabor could celebrate her 100th birthday in the mansion.
