The woman was struck in a "low speed collision," and hit her head on concrete as she fell backwards on the set. The L.A. County Fire Department was called to the scene and production was immediately shut down.

Production was also suspended on the set of CBS crime drama NCIS Wednesday, after a 52-year-old security guard was killed when the driver of a production company van blacked out, and his vehicle slammed into a tent on the set.

CBS said in a statement:

"Everyone at the network, the studio and NCIS is devastated by the news. Our hearts grieve for his family and friends for this tragic loss. We are, of course, cooperating with the local authorities in Santa Clarita to help determine what caused this terrible accident. Production on the show has been suspended."
