Al Pacino's Daughter Arrested For DWI

AlPacino080111_230.jpgNEW YORK, New York (X17online) - Al Pacino's daugther Julie Pacino was arrested in New York City on suspicion of DWI Saturday.

Ms. Pacino had been driving her Mercedes Benz through a traffic checkpoint on West Houston Street in Manhattan at 1:05 a.m. when she was stopped. Her exact blood-alcohol level was not given at the time of the arrest but was said to be over the allowed BAC limit.

Officer James Duffy quoted the police report, saying:

    "She had bloodshot, watery eyes, slurred speech and the strong smell of alcohol on her breath. She admitted to drinking three beers and smoking marijuana prior to entering the checkpoint."

Ms. Pacino was arrested at 1:35 a.m. and arraigned at 5:23 p.m. Saturday evening. She was released on her own recognizance.

Al Pacino, who's been filming the Phil Spector biopic in Los Angeles, flew cross-country after his daughter's arrest.

The 21-year-old aspiring film director, daughter of the famed actor and acting coach Jan Tarrant, graduated from Tappan Zee High School in Orangeburg, N.Y., and played softball at the University of California at Los Angeles.
