Ernest Borgnine Dies At 95

red101110_17_200.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (x17online) - Legendary Hollywood actor Ernest Borgnine has passed away Sunday. He was 95.

According to his rep, the actor died due of renal failure at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center surrounded by family.

Borgnine, who was famously known for his signature gap-toothed smile, starred in such films as From Here to Eternity and Bad Day at Black Rock. In 1955, he took home the Oscar for Best Actor with his role in the movie Marty.

Borgnine added to his accomplishments with a series of appearances including voice-over work as Mermaid Man in Spongebob Squarepants and an Emmy-nominated arc on ER.
