Katharine McPhee has officially split from husband Nick Cokas, People confirms.

"After six years of marriage, and having been separated for the past year, Katharine McPhee has filed for a dissolution of marriage from Nick Cokas. The two have an amicable relationship and will remain friends. They ask that people respect their privacy during this time," her rep said in a statement.

The pair have been estranged since last year.

The Smash actress found herself in the center of controversy when she was photographed this past spring kissing director Michael Morris, who is married to Mary McCormack. The American Idol alum's affair wasn't the cause of her marriage crumbling, though.

"It was just time. They'd grown apart and weren't right for each other anymore," a source told the mag.

Let's hope she decides to date an unmarried man next time around!

The former Playboy playmate and her football star beau welcomed their little girl on May 16 in Los Angeles. The couple are also parents to son Hank Jr., 4.

The tot's middle name might be a nod to Hugh Hefner's late beloved assistant Mary O'Connor, who the blonde beauty was famously close with until her death in 2013.
