Every year celebrities mingle with the common folk at Coachella, and this weekend the usual suspects turned out (and were turned up, apparently -- cough, Leonardo DiCaprio, cough) at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California.

Though there was a bit of a dust storm on Saturday, that didn't stop stars like Alessandra Ambrosio and Emma Roberts from strutting their stuff and posting tons of selfies from the venue and some of the many parties in the area. In fact, it seems like there were so many Instagram uploads, the social media app crashed for a few hours on Saturday morning! And it wasn't just about celebs in the crowd -- there were some surprise appearances onstage too, most notably Beyonce, Justin Bieber and Gwen Stefani.

But the queen of Coachella, Vanessa Hudgens, decided to go incognito with blonde hair and a fan to cover her face:

Kendall Jenner took in the Coachella Music Festival over the weekend with sister Kylie and a bunch of famous pals like Selena Gomez, and the budding model took the opportunity to show off her quirky side by sporting a gigantic nose ring!

It's doubtful the reality star actually got it pierced, but either way this is NOT her best look!

The brunette beauty kept the rest of her outfit relatively simple by wearing jean shorts and a white crop top, and we have to hand it to her for not going too crazy with her ensemble!

Justin Bieber shocked festival goers when he made a surprise appearance onstage with scheduled performer and close pal Chance the Rapper on Sunday at Coachella, and the bratty bad boy let his dancing skills win over the crowd!

The "Beauty and the Beat" singer uploaded a video of himself busting a move to his Instagram account, and fans quickly went wild over the clip!

We have a feeling The Biebs was trying to catch the attention of his former lady love Selena Gomez, who was in attendance for the desert music fest. It is unclear whether she caught his set, but something tells us she wouldn't miss it for the world!

Either that, or the "Come & Get It" singer was too distracted hanging with new besties Kendall and Kylie Jenner to care!

Looks like things are heating up between Khloe Kardashian and French Montana! Last night the odd couple was out at Philippe Chow in West Hollywood for a hot, one-on-one date after a string of less private evenings with their respective entourages in tow.

The epic of Miley Cyrus' late dog just gets sadder and sadder.

Still grieving from Floyd's death, Miley has given away her new pup Moonie. Her mom Tish gifted her the furry friend about a week ago to help her cope with her dog's absence. Floyd (below) was killed by a coyote while Miley was on tour. She has another doggie named Molly.

The singer tweeted on Sunday that she's not ready to move on just yet. "Moonie, thank you for giving me so much love, comfort, & peace. It's just to soon for me right now #missingmoonie," she wrote.

Miley performed an ode to an inflatable likeness of her late pet during her Bangerz tour last weekend.

"So torn. I love having little Moonie cuddle w me and Mary Jane but just don't know if I'm ready to love again," she wrote when she first got Moonie.

Her messages were much more solemn following Floyd's death last week. "Im trying 2 tweet about it rather than screaming and waking up the entire hotel! I wanna f****** screaaam. Im so f****** angry at the world," she tweeted right after she learned about her dog's death. The tweets only got grimmer from there.

The controversial pop star has never been more vulnerable. Hang in there, Miley!

Rihanna and Eminem took the stage at Sunday's MTV Movie Awards to perform their hit song "Monster", and the pair definitely rocked the house down!

The Barbadian bombshell and the Detroit-born lyricist were introduced by Orlando Bloom, and RiRi appeared before Slim Shady came out from behind flashing red lights and joined her.

We bet Drake was proud of his lady love!

The Hunger Games sequel was on fire on Sunday at the MTV Movie Awards.

Catching Fire won the top three awards of the night, including movie of the year. The blockbuster beat out 12 Years a Slave and The Wolf of Wall Street for the highest honor. Stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson took home the Popcorns for best female and best male performance, respectively.

Earlier in the evening, Josh thanked the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, who played Plutarch in the franchise. "We think about him every day on set," he said.

Paul Walker was also honored at the awards show by his Fast and the Furious costars Jordana Brewster and Vin Diesel. Paul won the best on-screen duo award posthumously for Fast & Furious 6, along with Vin.

"I was lucky enough to work with him over the last 15 years and witness the generosity of his heart every day I was with him," Jordana said. "He was humble, he thought about others. Whether you knew Paul for five minutes or were a close friend, he made you feel like the most important person in the world."

In the more lighthearted moments, Jonah Hill won best comedic performance for his crooked role in The Wolf of Wall Street.

Meanwhile, the coveted best kiss trophy went to Jennifer Aniston, Emma Roberts and Will Poulter for We're the Millers. Will was also named breakthrough performer of the year.

Jared Leto left Coachella early to accept the honor for best on-screen transformation for his role as a transgendered woman dying of AIDS in Dallas Buyers Club. Rumored crush Lupita Nyong'o presented the award to the Thirty Seconds to Mars rocker, who won this year's best supporting actor Oscar for the same performance.


"Is anyone going back to Coachella? Because I need a ride back," he joked.

A pregnant Mila Kunis, who hid her small bump in a little back dress, nabbed best villain for Oz The Great and Powerful.

This is the End was another big victor. The Backstreet Boys, Jay Baruchel, Seth Rogen and Craig Robinson won best musical moment and Rihanna received the trophy for best cameo for the comedy. Rihanna later performed her hit "Monster" with Eminem.
