Leah Remini made an appearance with BFF Jennifer Lopez last night at an American Idol bash, and she's also making the news today after her chat with BuzzFeed, which details why she left the Church of Scientology.

Though the actress cites "dozens of influencing factors," it was ultimately wanting to spend more time with her family that made her pull the plug. Her 9-year-old daughter Sofia approached the age when auditing was required for acclimation into the church, and Leah says, "In my house, it's family first – but I was spending most of my time at the church. So, I was saying 'family first,' but I wasn't showing that. I didn't like the message that sent my daughter."

Remini added that she grew up "resenting" her own mother for spending so much time at the church. "We went from a middle-class lifestyle [in Brooklyn] to living in a roach-infested motel with six other girls off a freeway in Clearwater." Still, Remini insists that the two are closer than ever now, but that wasn't the case with some of her pals in the church.

"Before, I would be going to the church right after lunch. There's no going to dinner with friends and having a glass of wine – I never did that in my adult life," she says. "It was so crazy to me because you can't get counseling the next day at the church if you've had a drink, so most Scientologists don't drink." No wonder she hit the town with J. Lo last night!

And speaking of that, Remini says her longtime pal has been a strong supporter through the tough times. "Jennifer made special rings for all the women in her life that say, 'I Love Me,' " she said. "I've really come to realize you have to love yourself before you can expect someone else to. You have to learn to believe you deserve love. And I'm getting there. I'm starting to believe it."

On Wednesday night Miranda Kerr attended the H&M show at the Grand Palais in Paris, and the 30-year-old Aussie hottie posed for photos in a stunning lace gown, which is from the brand's new party collection.

Miranda was named the new face of H&M earlier this month, replacing Gisele Bundchen -- they certainly know how to pick 'em when it comes to spokesmodels!

Inside the show Miranda hung out with Jessica Alba and Solange Knowles, and she tweeted, "Great performance and awesome collection at @hm show tonight! #HMstudioAW14." Sounds like a blast!

On Wednesday afternoon the singer/actress stopped by the recording studio in Hollywood, and she's putting finishing touches on her upcoming fifth studio album. It's been about seven years since she's put out a record, so what can fans expect from the former Disney darling?

When she appeared on Citytv Toronto’s Breakfast Television back in December, she dished some deets on her new tunes. “I think by spring I should have a single,” she told the show. “The first six songs I’ve done have all been really dancey and upbeat, uplifting, happy stuff. So now I’m getting into the moody. It’s important to have that fine balance and show all your sides. It’s got a bit of an indie, dance feel.”

Kate Hudson raised eyebrows on Tuesday night when she attended Bulgari's Decades of Glamour event without her engagement ring from fiance Matt Bellamy, and now we know why: The two have hit a major rough patch!

A source close to the couple tells X17online:

"Kate just isn't into it anymore. She and Matt have grown apart and she's sure now that she doesn't want to go through with marrying him. As far as she's concerned, the engagement is off."

Hudson, 34, and Bellamy, 35, have not been photographed together for a few months, and though she went to the 2014 Sundance Film Festival by herself, she played coy when she chatted with Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan in January. "I'm planning nothing right now," she said when asked about wedding bells. "I'm so busy, we've been so busy, and it's been great. I come from an unconventional family -- they're not married, my parents aren't married. So there's a part of me that goes, 'If I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it right. And I'm going to take the time to really plan it right...And it's a lot...So, no. Not anytime soon, no."

The couple met in 2010 and have been engaged since 2011, and in July of the same year they welcomed son Bing. Kate also has a ten-year-old son Ryder from her seven-year marriage to rocker Chris Robinson.

Still, it might not be the end. Our source added, "They're both being adult about it -- they'll end up in a good place; it's just a difficult time right now."

Allison Williams and her longtime boyfriend Ricky Van Veen are engaged, her rep has confirmed.

The 25-year-old Girls actress and the College Humor co-founder have been together for three years, after being introduced through mutual friends.

And not only that, but Williams told Glamour in an interview earlier this month that she would "walk away from" her blossoming career to have children. "I'd love to be a mom – and not have to bring my kids into my trailer … Or a balance [of both]," she said. "But you've [got to] call it on the fly to a certain extent."

Kendall and sis Kylie just graced the cover Marie Claire Mexico's March 2014 issue, and the second youngest members of the Kardashian got candid about her love for her lil' sis.

"She was obsessed with me. She followed me everywhere," Kendall explained to the mag about her younger sister.

In the interview, the burgeoning model also said she's right where she wants to be.

"Even as a kid, I remember always looking at my mom's magazines, I would look up to them and I thought they were so beautiful and they seemed very elegant and cool," she gushed about her lifelong fascination with the catwalk.
