Talk about being conflicted! Seems Gwyneth Paltrow is really just doing the best she can in her efforts to save the environment ... the Goop guru has a Tesla, after all!
But she and new hubby Brad Falchuk and their kids all took a private jet to Cabo for the MLK holiday weekend which didn't exactly help with their carbon footprint. But hey, what are they supposed to do? Fly commercial?!
The Clean Plate author and her clan were south of the border celebrating Billionaire Boys Club producer pal Crystal Lourd's birthday. The pair wore matching silver sequined spaghetti-strap dresses for a Mexico blowout -- the photo of which Gwen captioned: "Well, you did it again @cl5star!' Thank you for your incredible generosity, spirit and sparkles."
Gwen's and Brad's kids were along for the ride, enjoying the long weekend out of school. Moses is a spitting of his dad Chris Martin and Apple didn't fall far from her mother's tree!

Is Kanye West finally on his way to realizing his dream of being "one of the biggest real estate developers of all time?" Seems so!
The rapper-artist-designer-conceptualist met with a partner at his Calabasas studio and discussed his inspiration board for Yeezy Home -- talking social-impact design for prefabricated concrete homes that Ye envisions as the housing of the future. West is also planning a 5-home community on a 300-acre tract he owns in in the tony San Fernando Valley neighborhood.
Kanye's initial renderings were released last summer after his now infamous interview with Charlamagne The God, in which he claimed he basically be the next Donald Trump ...
The designs were a collaboration with some architecture students who envisioned a concrete pre-fab home for the masses -- a low-cost living design that coincided with Kanye Tweeting, "We’re starting a Yeezy architecture arm called Yeezy home. We’re looking for architects and industrial designers who want to make the world better.â€
A better world, indeed! Ye's taking this seriously -- he was burning the midnight oil Monday night, again at his studio to work his design process. Hey, if anyone can do it, Kanye can!

Netflix has done it! The streaming service scored it's first-ever Best Picture nomination from the Academy for Alfonso Cuaron's nostalgic black-and-white drama about his childhood in Mexico City. In fact, the film picked up a whopping ten nominations for the 2019 Oscars, along with British period drama The Favourite."
Meanwhile, Marvel film Black Panther is the first superhero film to ever be nominated for Best Picture. Rounding out that category are Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's A Star Is Born, Spike Lee's Blackkklansman, the Queen/Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, Mahershala Ali and Viggo Mortensen's Green Book, Christian Bale's Dick Cheney story Vice, and The Favourite.
Gaga gets a nod for Best Actress for A Star Is Born, going up against favorite Glenn Close for The Wife. Bale is the likely winner for Best Actor for his transformative portrayal of Cheney in Vice but he'll go up against Cooper for A Star Is Born. Will Spike Lee finally win an Oscar? Honestly, it'll likely go to critics' favorite Cuaron for Roma even though the Blackkklansman director is more than worth!

Chris Brown was taken into custody Monday in Paris on potential charges of aggravated rape and drug infractions. A woman claims she met the singer, 29, at a nightclub and went back to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel with him on the evening of January 15 and his bodyguard where both took turns raping her in Brown's hotel room, she alleges. A third person is also in custody. By French law, police have another two days to decide whether or not to press charges.
The singer is in Paris for Fashion Week - in fact he sat front row at the Yohji Yamamoto Menswear show on Thursday. He likely won't be invited back for many more shows ... we're guessing Brown might get R. Kelly'd in the near future ...

The look of love! Justin Bieber had a huge grin on his face and he and wife Hailey Baldwin left Milk Studios following a meeting, on Saturday. The couple may have been organizing a wedding shoot at the famed studio as they continue to prep for their upcoming nuptials.
Justin walked out with a towel on his head -- ready to "throw in the towel?" We hope not! Hailey laughed at her hubby as they spent some quality time together before Justin had to fly off into the sunset on a private jet later that afternoon.

If this is true, they'd be Hollywood's hottest new couple!
Rumors are swirling that Brad Pitt and Charlize Theron are hooking up ... and we could totally see it! The dynamic duo posed for a Breitling watch campaign six months ago and that's when sparks flew, according to multiple reports. Pitt, 55, and Theron, 43, were even reported to have been introduced by Charlize's ex Sean Penn -- a claim which has also been shot down. The Sun reported the two spent Christmas together, but both are so low-profile, there hasn't been any photographic evidence. The two ARE neighbors, which is interested - check out HIS home and HERS.
Brad was dating MIT professor Neri Oxman last year, but things between them cooled. And the actor-artist has been dealing with his divorce from Angelina Jolie and custody proceedings regarding his kids.
Speaking of his offspring ... we spotted his and Angelina's biological children twins Knox and Vivienne, 10, and Shiloh, 12, at a local LA pet store over the weekend, accompanied by a bodyguard and a driver. Pitt reportedly spent time with all his kids over the holidays. Maybe blending his tribe with Charlize and her two adopted children August and Jackson? Sounds fun!
You know how people say little babies' birthday parties are more for the parents who throw them than for the child? Well that was the case with yet another over-the-top Kardashian birthday party ... this time for year-old Chicago West.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are no strangers to throwing elaborate blow-outs at their Calabasas home and this weekend's event for their baby daughter was no different. Kimye put on an Alice In Wonderland-themed day for their youngest, complete with costumed characters, a maze of faux hedges through their stark white hallway, leading to a turf-lined room full of sweets and arts-and-craft projects.
Nevermind that Chicago's too young to partake in ANY of this. Her siblings and their friends aren't, though! So pals like Chrissy Teigen brought along their toddlers to celebrate the uber-couple's latest offspring. Soon baby #4 will be here and they'll be doing this all over again!
In related news ... we took a peek at the couple's eternally-under-construction Calabasas mansion from the sky yesterday and guess what? It's FINISHED! It seriously appears to be completed! Kanye's vision has been realized, the construction trucks are gone, the green grass has been laid, and the pool has been filled and they are DONE!

Nobody ever said Ben was a bad dude, but after all the troubles he had last year in his battle with alcohol addiction, he maybe poor choice of dating a much-younger Playboy model and his overall headline-grabbing negative PR, we're here to say, the guy's not half bad!
Affleck attended church yesterday with ex-wife Jennifer Garner and his kids Seraphina, Violet, and Samuel and the group looked super happy and healthy and Ben like the perfect doting dad. After service he hit the local Starbucks for an iced coffee and newspaper before heading home to watch the Saints vs. the Rams and then his beloved Patriots take on the Kansas City Chiefs and WIN!
Perhaps all that prayer led his team to victory ... so who'll he root for when his current hometown team takes on his childhood hometown team at the Super Bowl? We're pretty sure he'll be cheering for the Patriots!
