Fergie and hubby Josh Duhamel went to check on the construction of their new Brentwood home on Friday, and the duo spent more than three hours going through the house and talking with the crew. According to the Daily Mail, Fergs and Josh hired an interior designer who is known for doing the layouts of Hollywood clubs. Fun!

On Friday a very pregnant Halle Berry lunched with a gal pal at Rivabella Ristorante in West Hollywood, and in the evening the actress grabbed dinner with hubby Olivier Martinez, who helped her down the steps. So sweet! Hard to believe this is the guy who beat the crap out of Halle's ex/other baby daddy Gabriel Aubry...

After Halle gives birth, she has a job lined up, but she's heading to the small screen! Halle is set to star in the upcoming CBS summer drama series Extant, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The show is being produced by Steven Spielberg, and according to a plot synopsis it is a “futuristic thriller about a female astronaut (Berry) trying to reconnect with her family when she returns after a year in outer space. Her experiences lead to events that ultimately change the course of human history.”

“I’m always on the lookout for amazing roles and when you see material that contains this strong of auspices, nuance and complexity it compels me to run toward it no matter the medium,” Halle said in a statement. “For five months a year I’ll get to live with and play this incredibly intelligent and vulnerable woman, and for the remainder of the year I’ll continue to look for other roles that move me as deeply as this one. I’ve found amazing partners in CBS’s Nina Tassler and Les Moonves, and the incredible Steven Spielberg, along with his Amblin production team, whose vision and creativity in storytelling is unparalleled.”

Chris Brown recently chatted with the Guardian about his upcoming album, but the interview very quickly shifted from professional to personal when the R&B star was asked about his childhood and the infamous assault on Rihanna.

When asked if he really lost his virginity at the age of 8 to a girl who was 14 or 15, Chris said, "Yeah, really. Uh-huh. It's different in the country." Brown added that he grew up with a handful of older male cousins and stumbled across porn at a very early age. Chris said:

"By that point, we were already kind of like hot to trot, you know what I'm saying? Like, girls, we weren't afraid to talk to them; I wasn't afraid. So, at eight, being able to do it, it kind of preps you for the long run, so you can be a beast at it. You can be the best at it. But you know how Prince had a lot of girls back in the day? Prince was, like, the guy. I'm just that, today. But most women won't have any complaints if they've been with me. They can't really complain. It's all good."

He then describes "the Rihanna incident" as "probably the biggest wake-up call for me. I had to stop acting like a little teenager, a crazy, wild young guy." But when asked if that's how he thinks of himself when he looks back at that point in his life he says, "No, not at all ... Cos you can talk with all my girls that I did mess with before, and it's never been a violent history. But at the same time, I learned from it, and it was almost like… I wouldn't say it happened for a reason, but it was something to trigger my mind to be more of a mature adult. To handle myself in situations, don't throw tantrums, don't be a baby about it."

So what does he have to say about a judge hitting him with an additional 1,000 hours of community service for failing to complete his original sentence of six months of community labor? Chris whines:

"Community service, that sh*t is a b*tch. I'll be honest – and you can quote me on that – that is a motherf*cker there. For me, I think it's more of a power trip for the DA. I can speak freely now, because I don't really care what they say about it, but as far as, like, the 1,000 extra hours they gave me, that's totally fricking bananas."

Because he's not being a baby or anything...

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West may not always be together with baby North (case in point, they flew back from Paris on separate days this week), but they always keep their daughter close to their hearts with their matching gold necklaces!

Madonna really is telling all -- in her own words. For the November issue of Harper's Bazaar, the 55-year penned a candid essay chronicling some very personal and traumatic events in her life including the controversy surrounding her 2006 adoption of son David from Malawi, her "strange" teen years and being raped at knifepoint.

On adopting her son David:

“This was an eye-opening experience. A real low point in my life. I could get my head around people giving me a hard time for simulating masturbation onstage or publishing my Sex book, even kissing Britney Spears at an awards show, but trying to save a child’s life was not something I thought I would be punished for. Friends tried to cheer me up by telling me to think of it all as labor pains that we all have to go through when we give birth. This was vaguely comforting. In any case, I got through it. I survived.”

On being the victim of rape shortly after moving to New York in 1978:

"New York wasn't everything I thought it would be. It did not welcome me with open arms. The first year, I was held up at gunpoint. Raped on the roof of a building I was dragged up to with a knife in my back."

On arriving in New York with dreams of stardom:

"[It] wasn't anything I prepared for … Trying to be a professional dancer, paying my rent by posing nude for art classes, staring at people staring at me naked. Daring them to think of me as anything but a form they were trying to capture with their pencils and charcoal. … I was defiant. Hell-bent on surviving. On making it. But it was hard and it was lonely, and I had to dare myself every day to keep going."

On her "strange" teenage years:

“Most people thought I was strange. I didn’t have many friends; I might not have had any friends. But it all turned out good in the end, because when you aren’t popular and you don’t have a social life, it gives you more time to focus on your future. And for me, that was going to New York to become a REAL artist. To be able to express myself in a city of nonconformists. To revel and shimmy and shake in a world and be surrounded by daring people.”

Those are some intense revelations, but way to express yourself Material Girl!

On Friday Katherine Heigl took her tiny pooch for a stroll in New York City, and the 34-year-old actress picked out fall fashions for both herself and her pet. Cute!

Aside from raising two young daughters, Katherine is busy getting back to work, but it won't be on the big screen. Last month NBC announced that it will develop a new television show in which Heigl would play the CIA's chief liaison to the president, so we're very curious to see where that goes.

Katherine may be a veteran actress with a decent fan following, but over the years she's earned the reputation of being extremely difficult. In a recent article on The Hollywood Reporter, an insider on the 2009 film The Ugly Truth opened up about her diva demands and "desperately difficult situations" in which they ran into a number of problems with Heigl, including "wardrobe issues, not getting out of the trailer, questioning the script every single day. Even getting her deal closed at Warners was hard. She hit that point of 'no.'" Yikes!

It's also noted that the actress has the "habit of airing her grievances in public." Remember when she slammed Knocked Up for being "sexist," and then announced that she wasn't seeking an Emmy that year for her role on ABC's Grey's Anatomy because the writing sucked? Looks like she's taking a serious bite of humble pie, especially when you consider that she was paid a whopping $12 million for The Ugly Truth...

Sunday's episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians reached an all-time low of 1.7 million viewers, and despite the fact that the show is renewed through 2015, rumors are swirling that E! could pull the plug on the series sooner than that!

"This is looking really bad for the Kardashians and their show," a source told Radar. "When Kendra Wilkinson‘s show dropped below 1 million viewers they dropped it, so the Kardashian reality show is definitely in trouble."

Just for comparison, after Kim Kardashian married Kris Humphries four years ago, 4.1 million viewers watched their wedding episode. The show premiered in 2007, and in April of 2012 momager Kris Jenner inked a $40 million deal for three more seasons of the reality show, but according to the site, the network may have the option to cancel the show early.

So what's causing the numbers drop? Aside from the fact that the show is uh, totally fake, the family has dealt with a lot of negative press over the past few months. From Kris and Bruce's fighting to Lamar Odom's alleged cheating and drug addiction, this summer has been rough for the famous fam. On top of that, there's so many spinoff shows we can't even keep track of which city Kim and Kourtney (or Khloe) are "taking" next.

Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian are reportedly getting their own series, but now Radar reports that that could be in jeopardy...

If the show gets cancelled, would it be the beginning of the end for their empire?

Guy Ritchie is currently in Italy filming his latest movie Man from U.N.C.L.E, and the director decided to bring along baby mamma Jacqui Ainsley and his son and daughter to make the most of his time in Rome!

The 45-year-old filmmaker held son Rafael on his shoulders as he strolled through the city with his lady love. We wonder if the British hunk still gets to spend quality time with sons David and Rocco?
