For some odd reason, Sinead O'Connor has taken it upon herself to write a very long, very odd open letter to Miley Cyrus, warning the controversial star "not to let the music business make a prostitute of you." Well look at Sinead O'Rebellion with her words of wisdom!

The lengthy response is a reaction to the news that Miley's headline-making video "Wrecking Ball" was inspired by O'Connor's classic video "Nothing Compares 2 U."

The Irish singer wrote:

"I am extremely concerned for you that those around you have led you to believe, or encouraged you in your own belief, that it is in any way "cool" to be naked and licking sledgehammers in your videos. It is in fact the case that you will obscure your talent by allowing yourself to be pimped, whether it’s the music business or yourself doing the pimping."

O'Connor's iconic video shows a close-up of the pale-faced songstress singing as tears stream down her face, much like portions of the "Wrecking Ball" video.

In the letter, O'Connor says while she is flattered that Miley emulated her video, she warns that her life is a cautionary tale. O'Connor continues: "Your records are good enough for you not to need any shedding of Hannah Montana. She’s waaaaaaay gone by now. Not because you got naked but because you make great records."

For those of you who haven't kept tabs on the singer, in 2011 O'Connor was married for a mere 16 days before announcing via the Internet it was over and recounted a strange wedding night involving accidentally taking drugs. The next week, she unleashed countless announcements on the Interwebs stating that the couple, who had only been together for three months total, had reunited. Needless to say, her past and present is quite bizarre. And we aren't sure one hit song and a mess of controversy makes her qualified to give Miley any career insights.

The recently single Miley, who's clearly wearing her sassy pants, fired back at O'Connor, tweeting, "Before Amanda Bynes.... There was.... " and then posted a screen grab of O'Connor's most recent tweets.

Ha! we love that the Bangerz singer isn't taking this well meaning but un-called-for letter lying down.

Famous faces and community groups reached out to social media to help spread the word on President Barack Obama's revolutionary and hotly disputed act.

Pharrell, Alyssa Milano and Kerry Washington all reached out to young adults via Twitter, hoping to inspire their interest in the new subsidized health plan. Sexy ladies Lady Gaga, Olivia Wilde and Amy Poehler kicked it up a notch and got all DIY about it and tweeted out pics with handmade signs that said "#GetCovered" in an attempt to urge others to sign up for the plan.

Musician John Legend wrote on his twitter, "F the shutdown. The Health Insurance Marketplace is now open in every state. Don't wait another day to #GetCovered!"

Grunge legends Pearl Jam tweeted to their more than 2 million followers, "If you want to make sense of the whole healthcare thing, or just want to #GetCovered, check out http://www.healthcare.gov #KnowYourOptions."

The Obama administration is hoping sign up least 2.7 million young, healthy Americans in the first year to offset the costs of sicker beneficiaries. Let's hope all this star power gets the word out!

He can do anything he wants at this point!

Brad Pitt recently opened up to the Hollywood Reporter about his foray into producing and his choice of movie projects, and the A-list star confessed he doesn't let a little criticism faze him!

Explaining how the mantra at his Plan B production company is, "Game on, f***kers", the World War Z star revealed that he's finding joy in being behind the camera these days.

"As I get older, I am enjoying more the producorial side of things - not being so forefront in the camera - the creativity of putting the pieces together," he told the mag.

His company's new film 12 Years A Slave is already generating Oscar buzz, so clearly he's doing something right!

Let's hope her husband isn't the jealous type!

Gwyneth Paltrow and Mark Ruffalo enjoy a pretty epic makeout in the new Thanks for Sharing trailer, and we have a feeling this movie is going to be a hit!

The flick centers upon Paltrow's character Phoebe, who is struggling to come to terms with her boyfriend's sex addiction. The pair meet at a party then become boyfriend and girlfriend before Phoebe is made aware of his issues.

It's nice to see the Goop queen branching out into different roles!

She never stops! Then again, with everything she has going on in her life at the moment, it seems like Khloe Kardashian's busy schedule is helping distract her from the negativity surrounding her marital troubles with Lamar Odom.

After squeezing herself into a sexy black dress and showing off her nips, Khloe changed into yet another outfit on Wednesday evening and grabbed dinner with some girlfriends at Kate Mantilini in Woodland Hills.

But now we're wondering if Khloe is going to file for divorce ... or even go through with selling her home, for that matter. Last night she tweeted:

"Promise me u’ll always remember: u’re braver than u believe. I am brave because of u. The love u gave made me brave. All we need is love#KKO ... Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Never allow anyone to take YOUR spirit away from you. Misery loves company."

What does the first part mean?! Is she reconciling with Lamar?!

Hey, no shame in a little self tanner! Or falling asleep in the UV bed...

On Wednesday night Mel Gibson, Robert Rodriguez, Paris Hilton, Sofia Vergara and other stars attended the Machete Kills premiere at Regal Cinemas L.A. Live in Los Angeles, and despite his tangerine-toned skin, the 57-year-old actor looked happy and calm. Come to think of it, he's been in a reaaaalllly good mood lately. Maybe that hormone replacement therapy really is doing something for him!

But of course!

Lamar Odom says he's been sober for five whole days and he thinks he can stay sober, this according to TMZ.

Sources close to the troubled NBA star tell the website that Lamar believes in what he calls "self-healing" and claims he has "the willpower to kick his drug habit on his own." And get this -- Lamar says he's done it successfully before and insiders say his main motivation is getting back on the basketball court. Yup. Lamar "believes once he's achieved a level of sobriety, he can re-join a team." Um, #delusional!

On the plus side Lamar says he's open to getting professional help, but not at a rehab facility -- only in private. Additionally, he is cutting certain "friends" from his life so he doesn't relapse, but given the severity of his alleged addiction to drugs, this doesn't seem like enough. But is it enough to keep estranged wife Khloe Kardashian around? She still hasn't announced plans to divorce Lamar, and if they end of reconciling, she very well could pull their home off the market before the listing goes public.

After lunching at Katsuya in a sexy black dress, Khloe Kardashian changed into jeans and a nude tank/jacket combo, and she totally forgot her bra. But the show must go on, and Khloe and her nips (plus her little sister Kylie and mom Kris Jenner) filmed a segment for Keeping Up with the Kardashians while shopping at Kitson in West Hollywood.

Seeing as Khloe is selling the Tarzana home she shares with estranged hubby Lamar Odom, we'd be inclined to believe that a divorce announcement is imminent, but she's been wearing her wedding ring, so we still have no idea what's going to happen.

Given how much she's been out and about lately, it seems like staying busy (and being with her family) are helping keep her sane...
