Comeback alert!

Amanda Bynes appears on the new cover of Paper magazine, and goes into detail about her drug use, battle with depression, and that infamous mental breakdown.

Now healthy, four years sober, and working towards a career in both fashion and movies, the former child star wants to come clean about how things got so off track.

Her battle with mental illness began after she starred in She's The Man, which required her to transform herself into a boy for the role.

"When the movie came out and I saw it, I went into a deep depression for 4-6 months because I didn't like how I looked when I was a boy. I've never told anyone that. It was a super strange and out-of-body experience. It just really put me into a funk," she admitted.

Her body image issues only continued when she was cast in Hairspray, and read an article about how girls abused the ADD drug Adderall to lose weight.

"They were talking about how women were taking it to stay thin. I was like, 'Well, I have to get my hands on that.' When I was doing Hall Pass, I remember being in the trailer and I used to chew the Adderall tablets because I thought they made me [higher that way]. I remember chewing on a bunch of them and literally being scatterbrained and not being able to focus on my lines. Or memorize them, for that matter," she explained.

Thus began her deep dive into illegal drugs. She eventually quit Hairspray because of her troubles, but was cast again in Easy A later on. Still, her insecurities persisted, and only heightened her feelings of wanting to use.

"I literally couldn't stand my appearance in that movie and I didn't like my performance. I was absolutely convinced I needed to stop acting after seeing it. I was high on marijuana when I saw that but for some reason it really started to affect me. I don't know if it was a drug-induced psychosis or what, but it affected my brain in a different way than it affects other people. It absolutely changed my perception of things," she said.

Things only got darker from there, as she began to experiment with cocaine and ecstasy and continued to pop Adderall.

"I never liked the taste of alcohol. [I tried] cocaine three times but I never got high from cocaine. I never liked it. It was never my drug of choice, but I definitely abused Adderall. I had a lot of time on my hands and I would 'wake and bake' and literally be stoned all day long," she detailed, noting that she began to start "hanging out with a seedier crowd" and isolated herself from loved ones. "I got really into my drug usage and it became a really dark, sad world for me," she added.

On top of all of this, she discovered Twitter, and began to self-destruct publicly on the social media platform.

"I'm really ashamed and embarrassed with the things I said. I can't turn back time but if I could, I would. And I'm so sorry to whoever I hurt and whoever I lied about because it truly eats away at me. It makes me feel so horrible and sick to my stomach and sad. Everything I worked my whole life to achieve, I kind of ruined it all through Twitter... It was like an alien had literally invaded my body," she revealed.

Now that she's sober, she can see how much the drugs and "experimenting" destroyed her life.

"My advice to anyone who is struggling with substance abuse would be to be really careful because drugs can really take a hold of your life. Everybody is different, obviously, but for me, the mixture of marijuana and whatever other drugs and sometimes drinking really messed up my brain. It really made me a completely different person. I actually am a nice person. I would never feel, say or do any of the things that I did and said to the people I hurt on Twitter. There are gateway drugs—and thankfully I never did heroin or meth or anything like that—but certain things that you think are harmless, they may actually affect you in a more harmful way. Be really, really careful because you could lose it all and ruin your entire life like I did," she cautioned.

This takes a lot of bravery, and we're so glad she finally made it out on the other side!

Britney Spears spent Thanksgiving weekend kicking back with sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, and we couldn't believe our eyes when we caught them running errands around their neighborhood together. The boys are officially teenagers, and almost taller than their pop star mom!

Where was her beau Sam Asghari for this outing? We doubt there's any trouble in paradise, as a new report claims Brit Brit is desperate for her personal trainer beau to pop the question. Apparently, the recent LA wildfires got the pop princess thinking long and hard about their future.

"Britney has been very shaken up by the fires. She’s feeling so lucky to be out of danger with her family, but it’s still very emotional for her. She’s going to be making a lot of donations to help the victims and she’s making a point to let everyone in her life know how much she loves them. She and Sam are already like two peas in a pod, but this tragedy has made her even more aware of how lucky she is and how very much she loves him," a source dished to Hollywood Life.

"She knows she wants to spend her life with him, he’s her Prince Charming and the fires this week have reminded her how very precious life can be and it’s made her really focus on not wasting one moment. Britney’s more eager than ever to get engaged to Sam and she wants it to happen over the holidays this year," the source added.

He's ready to set the record straight once and for all.

Shawn Mendes is on the cover of the newest issue of Rolling Stone, and in the accompanying interview, he discussed everything from those persistent rumors about his sexuality to the nature of his relationship with Hailey Baldwin.

The 20-year-old singer has been plagued by gay rumors for years, and he wants to make it clear that although he sees nothing wrong with homosexuality, he's very much heterosexual.

"I'd like to say I don't care about it, but that's not true. This massive, massive thing for the last 5 years about me being gay. In the back of my heart, I feel like I need to go be seen with someone -- like a girl -- in public, to prove to people that I'm not gay. Even though in my heart I know that it's not a bad thing. There's still a piece of me that thinks that. And I hate that side of me," he told the mag.

The Canadian crooner was rumored to be in a relationship with Hailey Baldwin before she ran off and married Justin Bieber, even though at the time the two maintained they were "just friends," but now he's coming clean about their romance.

"I don’t even want to put a title on it. I think it was more of a zone of limbo," he explained.

Even though she's unfollowed him on Instagram, he's still happy she found love with The Biebs and has nothing but nice things to say about her.

“I texted Hailey, ‘Congratulations,’ and I really am happy for them. She’s still one of the f–king coolest people ever — she’s not just a beautiful person visually, but she’s one of the most beautiful hearts I’ve ever met. … You can’t control your heart," he gushed.

Chris Brown sent fans into a tizzy when he commented a heart emoji on one of Rihanna's recent sexy Instagram photos, and now we're learning it wasn't totally out of the blue. In fact, the exes are apparently on very friendly terms. Barf!

"Chris and Rihanna continue to be in frequent contact with each other. They are extremely supportive of each other’s projects. There is a lot of history between the two of them. Rihanna is aware that there will be concern about her friendship with Chris, but she can handle herself," a source dished to Us Weekly.

The singers dated from 2008 to 2009, before splitting when CB was arrested for assaulting her in his car the night before the Grammys. They briefly reconciled in 2012, but broke up for the last time in 2013.

Breezy went on to date Karrueche Tran, while RiRi was linked to Leonardo DiCaprio, Drake, and most recently billionaire Saudi businessman Hassan Jameel.

Kylie Jenner hopped on Instagram to plug her big Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals for Kylie Cosmetics, and she decided to have daughter Stormi join in to drum up a little extra attention and publicity. You can't say she's not a smart businesswoman!

The toddler is already basically a billionaire thanks to her mom's mega successful makeup line, but she might have to share her fortune with some siblings in the future. That's right, Kyls and Travis Scott are thinking of adding more kids to the mix!

"Kylie definitely wants more kids. Stormi is so perfect in every single way, and Travis is such an amazing partner and dad, that she would love to have at least another two. Kylie is in no hurry to get pregnant right now though. Despite Travis being more than happy to add to the family tomorrow, he’s never felt happier or more content in his life than he does now with Kylie and Stormi in his world," a source dished to Hollywood Life.

"Kylie would like to wait another year before starting to try for a baby again, and this time she would like to have it more planned out. She wasn’t expecting to get pregnant with Stormi, but as things turned out it was the best thing that ever happened to her, and has made her love with Travis even stronger than she possibly could have imagined,” the source added.

Dakota Johnson spent Thanksgiving with boyfriend Chris Martin, his kids... and his ex Gwyneth Paltrow!

"They’re a total modern family and had a great time celebrating together," a source dished to People. No word on whether Gwynnie's new husband Brad Falchuck was also in attendance.

So what does the Goop queen think of her former husband's lady love?

"Gwyneth thinks she is lovely. She gets on very well with her and is happy for Chris. They've spent a good amount of time together and have a very nice friendship. The kids really like Dakota and enjoy spending time with her," another insider told E! News.

The Fifty Shades of Grey actress and the Coldplay frontman have been dating for about a year, and things seem to be moving towards an engagement.

"Chris lives in Malibu and Dakota seems to love hanging out there. They occasionally go for dinner with friends, but mostly have friends over at home. They go to the beach together, and walks around the neighborhood. They seem to enjoy sharing a quiet life. It does seem they are getting more serious," another source previously explained.

He's happy, healthy, and back on daddy duty after rehab!

Ben Affleck and his mom Anne Boldt took his three children to church on Sunday in LA, and even though she's normally with them, Jennifer Garner skipped out on services. Perhaps she was spending time with boyfriend John Miller, and her ex was picking up the slack?

Ben and Jen took their brood to Montana to spend Thanksgiving as a family, and it's yet another example of their commitment to co-parenting.

"Jen and Ben continue to work together to make their parenting as seamless as possible. They really like to do things as a family, be it outings, church, cooking or watching movies. They have both had some ups and downs this year, and they seem to be in a good place," a source dished to People.

"Jen, Ben and the kids were in Montana for Thanksgiving. This was long planned. They always celebrate big holidays together as a family. The family all spent Thanksgiving together and they all cooked," the source added.

Ariana Grande shared a loving Twitter tribute to late ex-boyfriend Mac Miller on Thanksgiving, and some evil Internet troll accused her of using his death for attention.

"She milkin this s–t, bruh," the commenter wrote. The "Sweetener" songstress decided to take the high road with her response, though! "I pray you never have to deal with anything like this ever and i’m sending you peace and love," she wrote back.

A little later on, the pop princess couldn't help but lament the drawbacks of social media, and announced she'd be taking a bit of a break.

“Some of the s–t i read on here makes me sick to my stomach. It scares me the way some people think and i don’t like this world a lot of the time. if only we could be more compassionate and gentle with one another. that’d be sick … like f–k," she vented.

"Imma go tho for a min. It’s too gnarly on here. i’ll be back tho. love u bye," she added.

Her pal Halsey chimed in on the conversation, and got defensive over the insults.

"ari the world could only dream of being as compassionate and gentle as you. and since ur being, as always, so classy and nice, allow me the honor of telling them to shut the f–k up," the "Without Me" singer wrote.
