Selena Gomez donned her best flower child ensemble on Friday as she and a friend went to the Encino Pavilions amid the big news: her mom just gave birth to a new baby girl!

The 20-yer-old actress' mom Mandy Teefey and her husband Brian welcomed their baby girl Gracie Elliot Teefey on Wednesday. Even her BFF Demi Lovato got in on the occasion with a festive tweet to help usher in the newborn.

"@selenagomez IS A BIG SISTER!!!!!! Everyone congratulate her and her family!!!!!! #CONGRATSSELENA!!!! #CONGRATSSELENAMANDYANDBRIAN !!!!!!" she tweeted Thursday night.

We have no doubt what a great sibling Selena will be!

On Friday Jessica Alba and little miss Honor went to the park in Beverly Hills, and these ladies are hands down the best-dressed mommy/daughter duo in town!

Earlier this week Jessica debuted her bangs, and we're trying to figure out if her new hairdo is for a role or if she's just having fun. She recently wrapped production on Dear Eleanor, and she's reportedly started working on the new IFC series The Spoils of Babylon. According to IFC, Babylon is "shaping up to be an epic parody of the epic mini-series of our epic television past," and it's "a television adaptation of a best-selling epic novel by fictional famous author Eric Jonrosh (Will Ferrell) whose library spans 57 best-sellers in 85 different languages."

Val Kilmer, Tobey Maguire, Haley Joel Osment, Michael Sheen, Tim Robbins and Kristen Wiig will also star in the series, and even after watching the quickie teaser, we have NO idea what to expect from this ... click thru to check it out!

Miley Cyrus covers the new issue of Billboard magazine, and she chats about her new music and why she's the hardest working young woman in the biz.

When asked about her new single, "We Can't Stop," Miles tells the mag, “I didn’t make this song for the critics, but for the people living it. I’m 20 years old and I want to talk to the people that are up all night with their friends. It’s based on a true story of a crazy night I had: When I heard the song for the first time, it captured exactly what I was living.”

And what about her old songs?

“Right now, when people go to iTunes and listen to my old music, it’s so irritating to me because I can’t just erase that stuff and start over. My last record [2009's Can't Be Tamed] I feel so disconnected from -- I was 16 or 17 when I made it. When you’re in your 20s, you just don’t really know that person anymore ... I want to start as a new artist. I consider my upcoming album my first, really." (For the record, we still love the music and video for "Can't Be Tamed"...)

Of course, people are going to talk about her transformation ... and we're not just referring to her cropped blonde locks.

"A lot of people wanted to try to make me the white Nicki Minaj. That's not what I'm trying to do. I love 'hood' music, but my talent is as a singer."

On her work ethic the 20-year-old superstar says she's always on the clock:

“I never stop working, ever -- I put my track list together this morning. I want my record to be the biggest record in the world, and I’ve given everything to get here, even down to friends and family and relationships -- I’ve just put this music first.”

Is she trying to drop a hint about her relationship with Liam? Or are we reading too much into that?

Sporting a yellow top and flower print pants, the former Lizzie McGuire star resembled an archetypal '60s wife. Her big-framed aqua sunglasses completed the retro look. Hilary carried her baby on her hip before resting the 14-month-old on her shoulder when he fell asleep. We have to say, he looks even cuter asleep.

The actress told In Touch that becoming a mother has drastically changed both her personal and professional lives.

"Motherhood has been a huge life adjustment," she told the magazine in May. "It's been the most wonderful time of my life - but also the most tiring. ... He went straight to running from crawling instead of walking so I'm on my feet all day long training him."

It looks like she finally wore him out.

Stars -- they're just like us!

Pete Wentz and his girlfriend Meagan Camper went bargain shopping for wine yesterday at CVS in Studio City. The Fall Out Boy and his lady love were all smiles during the errand run.

Things are definitely getting serious between the lovebirds, who have been dating for two years. Pete celebrated his 34th birthday with Meagan and his son Bronx (with ex-wife Ashlee Simpson), on June 5 in Miami.

Pete recently revealed that his 2011 divorce from Ashlee left him paranoid and addicted to prescription pills.

"I was probably physically and mentally addicted," he told Rolling Stone in its June issue. "It started from insomnia and anxiety from flying, then it spiraled."

Meagan must have played a heavy hand in lifting him from his downward spiral following the breakup.

"I felt like a loser already," he told the mag. "I'd basically gone from being the guy in Fall Out Boy to being the guy, who, like, hangs out all day. I didn't see how I'd ever come out on the other side."

It's good to finally see Pete happy, healthy, and head-over-heels in love.

He's been wearing the same button down shirts and Brad Pitt-esque hairstyle for the past week, but we're not getting sick of it anytime soon!

On Thursday afternoon Chris Hemsworth took a break from shooting Cyber in Los Angeles, which is a film about "American and Chinese forces work[ing] together on a case of high-level computer hacking," according to a plot synopsis on IMDb. We're not expecting any shirtless scenes of the Thor hunk in this flick, but here's to hoping!

After Cyber it looks like the 29-year-old actor has a few months off, and next year he's set to begin production on The Avengers 2 and Snow White and the Huntsman 2.
