Following Angelina Jolie's confession that she recently underwent a preventative double mastectomy after learning she had the gene that put her at an increased risk for breast and ovarian cancer, Brad Pitt's mom Jane praised her son's partner for making the difficult decision to go through with the procedure.

"We're so very proud of Angie, this means so much to our family especially our grandchildren. We love her dearly," Jane Pitt said in a statement.

The actress' brother James Haven echoes the sentiments!

"My sister, like our mother, always put her children first. I am so grateful to be her brother," Haven said in his own statement.

It's also unclear whether the fan, who's believed to be male, made contact with the actress, but his bizarre comments allude to an ongoing relationship.

The brunette beauty donned a plunging, black tuxedo dress, while her male companion wore a matching two-piece black suit. Women half her age (cough, cough Kristen Stewart) couldn't rock that outfit!

The leggy brunette filed for divorce from husband director Rupert Sanders in late January, after he was caught (and later admitted to) kissing his Snow White and the Huntsman star Kristen Stewart last July. The couple wed in 2002 and have two children together.
