Justin Bieber's alleged pot smoking has driven fans to a new "cutting for Bieber" trend.

The dangerous activity, now trending on Twitter as #cut4bieber, was reportedly started by online pranksters who told Biebs' fans to hurt themselves in protest of the young star smoking.

Young fans have been posting pictures on Twitter showing graphic bloody images with slashed wrists and blades.

Bieber's friend, Miley Cyrus, Tweeted the following: "#cut4bieber? Cutting is NOT something to joke about. There are people who are actually suffering from self-harm, this is so disrespectful."

After photos surfaced of the teen sensation smoking what appears to be weed, JB released the following Twitter statement:

"Everyday growing and learning. trying to be better. u get knocked down, u get up. i see all of u. i hear all of u. i never want to let any of you down. i love u. and..thank u. #beliebers"

Bieber has yet to release a statement regarding the cutting trend.
