Rumors around St. Barth are that Rihanna is headed to the Caribbean island for a New Years Eve performance at billionaire Roman Abramovich's celeb-studded party.

Last year, the Russian owner of Chelsea Football Club hired the Red Hot Chili Peppers for the NYE gig and the year before that, the Black Eyed Peas.

This year, the buzz around the island is that the Bajan beauty will rock Roman's party, performing for the likes of Harvey Weinstein, George Lucas, Russell Simmons, Martha Stewart, Marc Jacobs and Jon Bon Jovi, who have all attended in previous years.

A St. Barth local tells X17online.com:

"Every year it's a big secret who will perform at Mr. Abramovich's party. He has more money than anyone here and he can afford the best. This year, people have been talking about Rihanna ... I hope it's true!"

Rihanna recently fled Barbados, where she was vacationing at One Sandy Lane in a $21 million private villa, after a stalker came within ten feet of her residence. Rihanna's security team quickly spotted the man and police arrested him.

But RiRi wasn't taking any chances, she jetted off the island, stat.

Now the question is ... where will Rihanna spend New Year's Eve? And will she be with Chris Brown?

Ri's mentor, Jay-Z, will perform a NYE concert in New York with Coldplay, for the second year in a row, but Rihanna's not scheduled to be on stage with them. Could she be planning another Caribbean jaunt? ... This time to the French West Indies for Abramovich's annual $8 million bash?
