Birthday boy Ryan Seacrest turned 38 on Christmas Eve and celebrated his big day with girlfriend Julianne Hough and family at Cecconi's in West Hollywood.

Although it was the American Idol host's celebration, we have a feeling his ladylove was hoping it would be the perfect time for her mega-rich beau to pop the question.

Perhaps these two will end this year as an engaged couple. Come on, Ryan ... no better way to ring in the new year than with some engagement bling!

Ben Affleck has admitted to enjoying politics, but the hunky actor isn't running for Senate just yet. The father of three released the following statement:

“I love Massachusetts and our political process, but I am not running for office. Right now it's a privilege to spend my time working with Eastern Congo Initiative (ECI), supporting our veterans, drawing attention to the great many who go hungry in the U.S. everyday and using filmmaking to entertain and foster discussion about issues like our relationship to Iran.”

Over the weekend, Affleck appeared on CBS' Face The Nation to promote Argo and said he has "a great fondness and admiration for the political process in this country" ... leaving many asking if he'd be seeking a Senate seat in Massachusetts.

Argo is a CIA thriller about an attempted rescue of American diplomatic personnel in Tehran during the 1979 hostage crisis.

Chris Brown and Rihanna arrived at today's Lakers/Knicks game today - TOGETHER - and they're even sitting together, court-side, right now!

It's the pair's first public appearance since Chris' assault on Rihanna back in 2009. Since then, Ri slowly started to confess her love for Brown on Twitter and in her infamous Oprah interview. Chris even dumped g-friend Karrueche Tran because he was "in love with two women," according to a short film he made just months ago.

After weeks of rumors and reports, Jessica Simpson finally confirmed her second pregnancy Tuesday on Twitter, posting this adorable pic of 8-month-old daughter Maxwell with "Big Sis" written in the sand in front of the little tot.

Jess captioned the photo: "Merry Christmas from my family to yours!" -- hers, a growing family with fiance Eric Johnson.

Simpson signed on as a Weight Watchers spokeswoman after her first pregnancy and lost over 50 pounds after giving birth in May. The Twitter page for the weight loss program read today, "Your WW family is so thrilled for you. What an amazing year you've had!"

Rumors around St. Barth are that Rihanna is headed to the Caribbean island for a New Years Eve performance at billionaire Roman Abramovich's celeb-studded party.

Last year, the Russian owner of Chelsea Football Club hired the Red Hot Chili Peppers for the NYE gig and the year before that, the Black Eyed Peas.

This year, the buzz around the island is that the Bajan beauty will rock Roman's party, performing for the likes of Harvey Weinstein, George Lucas, Russell Simmons, Martha Stewart, Marc Jacobs and Jon Bon Jovi, who have all attended in previous years.

A St. Barth local tells X17online.com:

"Every year it's a big secret who will perform at Mr. Abramovich's party. He has more money than anyone here and he can afford the best. This year, people have been talking about Rihanna ... I hope it's true!"

Rihanna recently fled Barbados, where she was vacationing at One Sandy Lane in a $21 million private villa, after a stalker came within ten feet of her residence. Rihanna's security team quickly spotted the man and police arrested him.

But RiRi wasn't taking any chances, she jetted off the island, stat.

Rachel Zoe hit the beach Monday for some fun in the sun with hubby Rodger and son Skyler. While Rach didn't wanna get in the water, Rodger gladly hit the waves with the toddler.

Zoe has been hanging in Miami for the past week, but decided to spend Christmas with her son somewhere a bit more luxurious. We don't blame her!
