Britney Spears checked in to a Los Angeles hotel over the weekend, but prior to that we spotted the pop princess and her bodyguard grabbing a bite to eat at Subway. Er, make that a quite a few bites ... looks like Britney has enough food to feed a family of 6!

Still no word on why Brit was checking in to a hotel, but we're thinking it has something to do with the fact that her new house isn't quite ready yet. But then where are Jason Trawick and her boys? And if there really is trouble in paradise, would Britney be looking so chipper when we snapped her photo?

Over the weekend Russell Brand was snapped leaving his yoga class in Hollywood, and the British comedian caused quite a ruckus in the parking lot! Russell tried to hop into a woman's car, but after that he calmed down and gave a young female fan a bear hug before getting lunch at a nearby cafe.

But who's this mystery blonde?

Pretty Little Liar's star Ashley Benson grabbed lunch at Taste on Melrose with her on-again-off-again beau Ryan Good, but looks as though she has James Franco on her mind.

When asked about Franco, whom she's rumored to be dating, Ash gives our cameraman a big smile. Franco and Benson met while filming Spring breakers this past summer. Although the two have denied a romance, we think the verdict's still out.

However, Franco was recently photographed wearing pink pajamas at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino ... hugging another woman. This guy always keeps us guessing!

Vanessa Lachey tweeted a new photo of her adorable son Camden the other day, and the new mom also opened up about some of the things she's learned since giving birth two months ago.

Vanessa and hubby Nick both celebrated their birthdays on Friday (she turned 32, he turned 39), and while the two have embraced parenthood, there are some downsides to having a newborn baby. "I haven't slept since September 12," Vanessa told Us Weekly. "It takes so long to feed and change and swaddle him. But it's worth it!"

When asked about some of the problems she's encountered with her two-month-old, Vanessa says, "His first blowout, I made two rookie mistakes: No. 1, I didn't put a diaper underneath the old one, and No. 2, I didn't let him finish. Nick and I laughed ourselves to tears." Eww! But I guess it is pretty funny...

So how often does Nick take on diaper duty? "He's the best! I'm really lucky. He changes them a lot," she says. "Since I nurse, Nick sees that as his bonding time. He'll talk and sing to him while doing it." She IS really lucky!

Over the weekend Reese Witherspoon, hubby Jim Toth and ex-hubby Ryan Phillippe attended son Deacon's soccer game in Brentwood, and what could have been a potentially awkward run-in ended up being quite the opposite!

Ryan and Jim shook hands, and they even sat down next to Reese for a few minutes as they watched Deacon play. Glad to see that everyone can get along!



But where was Ryan's much younger lady love Paulina?

Hilary Swank with her new boyfriend Laurent Fleury were snapped on the set of her new movie, You're Not You, and later in the day we spotted them going to a party at a friend's pad in Encino.

Fleury is a real estate broker who spends most of his time in Paris with his two children, and though Hilary has been staying at his apartment in France, he's also been in California quite a bit since the two started dating. So that's why she put her Pacific Palisades home up for sale!

Swank split from her boyfriend John Campisi in August after five years together, and shortly after that she put the house they shared on the market for $9.495 million. Prior to that Swank was married to Chad Lowe for nearly ten years, and just a few months after they announced they were divorcing, she started dating Campisi. She may be quick to move on, but it seems like once she does she hangs around for a while! Think this romance will last?

Anne Hathaway graces the cover of Vogue Magazine's December issue, and the newly married starlet talks about her role in Les Miserables and the dramatic transformation she underwent to play the character of Fantine.

On chopping off her long brunette locks for the role, Anne says, “I love the short-haired lifestyle. The only downside is having to get a hair cut every three weeks. But I’m turning 30, and — I hope this isn’t obnoxious to say — I feel prettier, and much more myself. I guess I just feel much more satisfied with less now.”

And her hair wasn't the only thing she lost! Anne had to drop a whopping 25 pounds for the film, and various websites reported that she was consuming just 500 calories a day. "I had to be obsessive about it," she said. "The idea was to look near death. Looking back on the whole experience — and I don’t judge it in any way — it was definitely a little nuts. It was definitely a break with reality, but I think that’s who Fantine is anyway."
