Tom Cruise has just filed a $50 million lawsuit against both Life & Style and In Touch, claiming the magazines (owned by Bauer publishing) defamed him by reporting he had abandoned his 6-year-old daughter Suri.

The Mission Impossible star is suing for $50 million plus punitive damages for defamation and invasion of privacy.

The July 30th cover of Life & Style reads, "Suri In Tears, Abandoned By Her Dad" and the October 1st cover of In Touch shows a picture of Suri and states, "Abandoned By Daddy." According to the suit, which was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Cruise claims the headlines are false, maintaining that he "loves his daughter dearly and would never abandon her."

Cruise's attorney, Bert Fields said in a statement:

"Tom is a caring father who dearly loves Suri. She's a vital part of his life and always will be. To say he has 'abandoned' her is a vicious lie. To say it in lurid headlines with a tearful picture of Suri is reprehensible. Tom doesn't go around suing people. He's not a litigious guy. But when these sleaze peddlers try to make money with disgusting lies about his relationship with his child, you bet he's going to sue. These serial defamers are foreign owned companies with their global headquarters in Hamburg. They take money from unsuspecting Americans by selling their malicious garbage. Having to pay a libel judgment may slow them down."

Fields added that any money Tom gets from the magazines will go to charity.

Daniel Craig attended the world premiere of Skyfall at Royal Albert Hall in London last night, and the 44-year-old actor looked quite dapper in a Tom Ford tux. After posing for photos on the red carpet, Daniel and wife Rachel Weisz met with the Royal family, including Prince Charles and wife Camilla Bowles.

Of keeping the pace with his third Bond film, Craig told FOX411’s Pop Tarts, “I always had a plan in my head, however tenuous it was, that when we did Casino – that was the beginning – we had to set a tone. Then we finished the story in Quantum and wrapped it all up. The third one would always be about bringing in the classic Bond. The characters, the people that really make a Bond movie a Bond movie. That was my only desire.”

Suri's 33-year-old mom is appearing on the hit show's All Stars' second season. In the brief clip, Holmes tells the contestant, "I've been watching." Such a fashionista!

Jessica Simpson's mother Tina Simpson has filed for divorce from husband Joe Simpson after 35 years of marriage. The papers were submitted Sept. 24 in McLennan County, Texas. "The marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities," she cited in the docs.

"Tina and Joe Simpson have filed for divorce. It is an amicable split and there is no third party involved. Any other related allegations are completely false. The family appreciates your respect for their privacy at this time," a family rep tells Us.

Days later, Joe Simpson filed a response petition that requested his estranged spouse get nothing in the split. Sounds like it's getting nasty!

Signs of trouble have been brewing for some time now. The former couple placed their shared Encino estate on the market for $4.3 million earlier this year, and Joe was arrested this past August for DUI.

Daughters Jessica and Ashlee Simpson have yet to comment.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel cover the new issue of People Magazine, and these are the wedding photos that they got a reported $300,000 for. Not bad!

On Friday Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake tied the knot at the Borgo Egnazia resort in the southern Italian city of Puglia, and the former boy bander tells People, "It was a really special evening." Biel, who wore a stunning custom pink Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown added, "It was a total fantasy experience."

JT sang to his bride as she walked down the aisle, and of the serenade, he said, "It was an original piece I wrote specifically for the evening and for her." Awww!

The pair had 100 guests, including Jimmy Fallon, Andy Samberg, Timbaland and Biel's 7th Heaven co-star Beverley Mitchell, but noticeably absent were two of Justin's former bandmates: Lance Bass and Joey Fatone! "Justin thought a reunion would overshadow the wedding," a source told Us Magazine. "And Justin hates Lance now."
