He's doing his solo strut!

Thursday, Ben Affleck was looking a little lonely as he was walking solo through the center of Rome, Italy.

The 40-year-old director was not too far from the Italian capital a few days earlier for the premiere of his acclaimed film Argo at 2012 BFI London Film Festival in England. With wife Jennifer Garner tending to the family back in L.A., he's still trucking through Europe with his phenomenal flick. No days off for this guy!

Opening statements for Sam Lufti's breach of contract/defamation suit against Britney Spears and her conservators began yesterday and the singer's former manager had some explosive information to share.

Lufti's lawyer, Joseph Schleimer, claimed that not only did Britney's amphetamines use was the cause of everything that went wrong with the pop star but also that he never gave her the drug Adderall and even tried to help save her.

Continuing with their opening statements, Schleimer claimed that in an attempt to clean Britney's house of drugs, Lufti discovered a bag of crystal meth -- citing that as one of the chief reasons she infamously shaved her head during her 2007 meltdown. X17 was there when the incident took place, having exclusively reported on their relationship before Lufti became a household name.

In his suit, Lufti states that Britney's conservators violated the terms of his verbal agreement with Spears for him to act as her manager and that he's due a cut of her $15 million X Factor contract. In addition, he claims Britney's mom Lynne Spears libeled and defamed him in her book Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World.

Lufti and his legal team hope to bring Britney on the stand to tell her side of allegations that her mother made in her book, stating he disabled Britney's car batteries and fed her drugs in an attempt to keep her under his control. The trial is expected to go underway today.

Every since the first trailer came out for The Master, everyone has been buzzing about Joaquin Phoenix getting his third Oscar nod for his performance in the Paul Thomas Anderson-directed flick, but apparently he just doesn't care.

"I think it's bullsh*t," Phoenix said in the latest issue of Interview Magazine. "I think it's total, utter bullsh*t, and I don't want to be a part of it. I don't believe in it. It's a carrot, but it's the worst-tasting carrot I've ever tasted in my whole life. I don't want this carrot. It's totally subjective. Pitting people against each other ... It's the stupidest thing in the whole world."

In 2000, Phoenix was nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category for Gladiator, and in 2005 he earned a nod for Best Lead Actor for his role opposite Reese Witherspoon in Walk the Line.

"It was one of the most uncomfortable periods of my life when Walk the Line was going through all the awards stuff and all that," Phoenix added. "I never want to have that experience again. I don't know how to explain it -- and it's not like I'm in this place where I think I'm just above it -- but I just don't ever want to get comfortable with that part of things."

Ashton Kutcher has been named Forbes Magazine's highest-paid TV actor after earning an estimated $24 million for the last season of Two and a Half Men.

In 2010 Charlie Sheen earned $40 million for his work on the CBS show, making him the highest paid actor at the time, but now he's dropped off the list completely.

Hugh Laurie and Ray Romano tied for second place at $18 million each, but interestingly enough, both of their shows (House and Men of a Certain Age, respectively) are off the air. Alec Baldwin of 30 Rock and Mark Harmon of NCIS tied for third place with $15 million worth of earnings, and Tim Allen came in at fourth place with $14 million. Kutcher's Men co-star Jon Cryer came in at fifth place with $13 million.

Miley Cyrus looked like a rock star while appearing on Chelsea Lately to promote her upcoming guest spot on Two and a Half Men.

The 19-year-old pop star quickly turned the chat to Honey Boo Boo. Cyrus told the talk show host that she "loves" the child beauty pageant star.

Cyrus told Handler that she upgraded her sound system at home so she could hear Boo Boo even louder. She added:

"I put in a home theater in my house, and then it wasn't quite loud enough so we got sub woofers so I can really hear her extra loud. So when I hear her, 'Holla for a dolla!' The whole house shakes."

Handler asked if fiance Liam Hemsworth watches the show with Miley. "Liam won't watch it," she clarified. Bummer!
