Courtney Love attended the opening night of Donizetti’s "L’Elisir D’Amore" at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City, and the 48-year-old singer/actress has the tendency to look a bit rough, but she looked polished and picture perfect yesterday evening!

"L’Elisir D’Amore" (or "The Elixir of Love") is a story about a twitterpated peasant who tries to attract a wealthy woman by drinking a potion created by a phony doctor. The lady brushes him off, and despite the fact that she marries someone else, she later becomes interested in him when he ignores her. But of course!

Vanity Fair asked guests if they had ever done something that crazy for love, and naturally, the former Hole rocker had quite a bit to say. “Grand gestures? Darling, I’m the queen of them,” she said. She reveals that she once hopped on a private plane to see someone at a hotel, and then got right back on the plane. “Because I’m not that rich,” she explained. “You know, when you get a private plane, you have to pay for both ways, so you get 12 hours.”

Love said she also gave someone a tree, and she added, “You know, I think when I die, I’ll pass an elevator shaft with all my grand gestures piled up, plus all my loose change, rubies, diamonds, hundred-dollar bills I’ve lost. When we die, all our stuff that’s lost, you know, it’s all going to be there. Plus all your grand gestures.” Aww!

He's had a rough couple months, but it appears John Travolta didn't let his sex scandal bring him down!

I know we're kind of dinosaurs in Hollywood, being together so long. But it works," he said.

Pamela Anderson and her Dancing With The Stars partner Tristan MacManus were snapped on their way to the show on Monday evening, and is she getting more than just tango lessons from the tatted up hottie?

While we wish these two would hook up, MacManus insists that they're keeping things totally professional. "[Our chemistry on the dance floor] wouldn't be as good if something [romantic] were to happen between us," he told People Magazine. "Everything we're kind of building towards is about that frustration. And that's where the chemistry is. The chemistry is about that tension." So maybe after they get voted off?

While they're one of the hottest couples on the new season of DWTS, Pammy and Tristan didn't fare so well last night, scoring a mere 17 points. "I know I'm not the best dancer, but I have a lot of heart and I have a lot of guts, and I want to be able to portray that," the former Baywatch star said.

Why can't he seem to stay out of trouble?!

Chris Brown tested positive for marijuana during a random drug test in a Virginia court on June 18, prompting a probation violation hearing.

The pop singer had been fulfilling his community service requirements stemming from his 2009 assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna, and it is customary to randomly drug test in the state. Brown's case was sent back to California, where he appeared in front of a judge Monday to face the music.

"You apparently did have a drug test, and that drug test came out positive for marijuana," judge Patricia Schnegg said during the court date.

The notorious bad boy told Virginia officials that he ingested the weed legally due to the fact he has a medical marijuana license, which he was prescribed by acupuncturist Ketino Karakalidi.

"I'm not going to order a subsequent drug test, but this is my advice to you: You are not an average person. You're not only in the public eye but you're on probation... I'm going to caution you. You should be very mindful of obeying all laws and rules," the judge added.

Brown is due back in court Nov. 1 to set a date for a probation violation hearing. According to lawyer Mark Geragos, his client has completed all his community service and stayed out of trouble.

Breezy better pray the judge sees things from his perspective!
