Her Royal Hotness comes to the States!

Pippa Middleton was spotted hanging out with hotelier Andre Balazs over the Labor Day weekend in Shelter Island, New York, according to Us Weekly. Balazs was reportedly hosting the Duchess of Cambridge's little sister on her trip to the US.

Middleton, 28, and Balazs, 55, enjoyed a two hour dinner at Sunset Beach with friends on September 2. The British socialite donned tight red pants and a white peplum top for her meal, and went relatively unnoticed for the majority of her time at the restaurant, until fellow diners took notice of her waiting in line for the bathroom.

"She got really embarassed when some people recognized her while she was in line. She actually turned bright red!" a source told the mag. The brunette beauty apparently didn't have any security detail and was very low-key during the outing.

The previous evening, Middleton dined at Catch restaurant with friends, where she was spotted sharing a bottle of white wine with pals and noshing on crispy shrimp, salmon carpaccio, and a variety of other goodies.

Middleton, a party planner and author, is stateside to attend publisher meetings and do an interview, a source told Us.

Balazs was most recently linked to comedian Chelsea Handler, and although there's a significant age difference between them, could he be romancing England's most eligible bachelorette?! Guess we will have to wait and see!

Over the weekend we spotted Kirstie Alley, Joey Fatone, Kym Johnson, Giles Marini and Maksim Chmerkovskiy at rehearsals in Los Angeles, and it may be a holiday weekend, but they're all busting their butts in preparation for the season premiere later this month.

Joey and Kirstie may not be back in top dancing form just yet, but let's not forget that each of them finished in second place when they competed (Joey in season 4, Kirstie in season 12). Think either of them has a shot at taking home the coveted mirror ball trophy? Or will Pamela Anderson or Apolo Anton Ohno waltz away with the prize this year?

New details about the days leading up to Michael Jackson's passing are starting to emerge in the wake of two pending lawsuits over his death.

According to a series of emails published by the Los Angeles Times, AEG executives were well aware that the King of Pop wasn't in a physical or mental state to handle the scheduled world tour that would have grossed an estimated $132 million. Describing him as a "basket case" and in a "weakened and troubled state" in the days leading up to the tour, executives chose to ignore the warning signs and scrambled to cover up the pop superstar's troubling behavior.

Jackson signed the deal for the world tour in January 2009, promising a "first-class performance," and it was understood that if he was unable to fulfill his contract, AEG would take the profits of his music catalog to recoup their financial losses. The company covered their bases extensively, even providing false information about Jackson's health in an attempt to score a $17.5 million insurance policy on the performance.

One email from AEG Live exec Paul Gongaware to music promoter Randy Phillips read:

"We are holding all the risk. We let Mikey know just what this will cost him in terms of him making money... We cannot be forced into stopping this, which MJ will try to do because he is lazy and constantly changes his mind to fit his immediate wants."

Although AEG claimed Jackson was "healthy," "sane" and focused, the 51-year-old's erratic behavior indicated otherwise. The day Jackson was to announce the tour during a London news conference, emails between execs indicate Jackson was intoxicated and "scared to death" over the attention. After refusing to leave his hotel suite, MJ's managers had to dress the "Thriller" star and he was 90 minutes late to the scheduled event.

After a series of missed rehearsals, trouble learning routines, and an inability to sing live at times, the show's musical director warned of the potential crisis on the horizon.

He cautioned execs:

"MJ is not in shape enough yet to sing this stuff live and dance at the same time."

Kenny Ortega, the show director and close confidante of Jackson for over twenty years, divulged to promoter Phillips his assessment of the Grammy winner's condition.

"There are strong signs of paranoia, anxiety and obsessive-like behavior. I think the very best thing we can do is get a top psychiatrist in to evaluate him ASAP. It is like there are two people there. One (deep inside) trying to hold on to what he was and still can be and not wanting us to quit him, and the other in this weakened and troubled state. I believe we need professional guidance in this matter."

Lloyd's Of London, the show's insurers, are readying to sue AEG, as they believe the company provided false claims about the singer's health. Jackson's heirs have also filed a wrongful-death suit against the company, claiming that they pressured the singer into the 50-show tour knowing full well he couldn't handle it.

What an unfortunate situation for all involved. Rest in peace MJ.

Jessica Alba spent her Sunday sweating it out at the Pilates studio, and the 31-year-old actress is whipping her body back in shape for Sin City 2. Not like she needs to spend that much time at the gym, but if reprising her role as Nancy Callahan requires her to wear bras and chaps and dance on tables, a few extra workouts each week probably won't hurt!

Jess tweeted a photo of a smoothie yesterday and wrote, "Greens drink for lunch after @atkinjen kicked my butt this AM!" Seeing as she's also carrying an iced tea and a large bottle of water, it looks like Jess is giving the whole liquid diet thing a try ... at least for one meal a day!

Elisha Cuthbert and longtime beau Dion Phaneuf are engaged!

The 29-year-old starlet tweeted the good news on Saturday and wrote, "Happily, happily, happily, happily engaged! This has been the most amazing weekend ever."

The couple began dating in May of 2008, and there's no word on how the NHL star popped the question, but the lovebirds celebrated at New Glasgow Lobster in Prince Edward Island, Canada on Saturday evening. "Last night we had the privilege of hosting a surprise engagement party for Dion Phaneuf and Elisha Cuthbert," the restaurant tweeted this morning. "Congrats to them both."

About 40 friends and family members were present at the engagement bash, and Us Weekly reports that Elisha was "showing off her ring to her family and the wait staff ... The female wait staff were gushing about the ring saying it was 'quite impressive' and 'huge.'"

First came the naked photos, and now comes the details!

British-born Carrie Reichert was one of nine girls hand selected to party with Prince Harry and his entourage during the now infamous Vegas trip, and the 32-year-old is revealing new details about her wild - naked! - night with Princess Diana's son.

"We kissed, he was naked at the time, and pretty open. It was a drunken fumble. It wasn't romantic, just fun," she divulged.

"He was a gentleman, but he was so wasted. The alcohol affected him. I was there for 15 to 20 minutes," she added.

The San Diego-based beautician went on to describe the escapades going on in the VIP suite. "Harry was already undressed. It was just crazy. He looked actually delirious. There was a pool table and he was playing air guitar with pool sticks. He was screaming out, 'Somebody get me a glove! I'm going to do a Michael Jackson impression!" Reichert revealed.

Although the blonde beauty confesses that both girls and guys were in various states of undress and intoxicated, she denies that there was any type of orgy going on, and insists that it was mostly cheeky, innocent fun.

"There was billiards being played. Harry was being randomly funny, going from the billiards to the bedroom. He wasn't the only one naked. There were girls naked. The guys were half dressed. It was not like an orgy going on, it was just sexy naked. It was almost like a game. He was trying to get everybody to get naked. That was the whole point of him being naked," she insisted.

So was the Prince a gentleman?

"He told me I was beautiful and gorgeous, which was sweet. Then we kind of nonchalantly returned to the party and kept drinking," she dished.

Russell Crowe and a pal got some help from the US Coast Guard on Saturday night during a kayaking trip off of New York's Long Island.

The 48-year-old actor and his companion left Cold Spring Harbor Saturday afternoon, and when it got dark, the two got lost but still managed to make their way to the shore after some assistance from the Coast Guard. Crowe and his pal beached their kayaks in Huntington Bay, and they were nearly 10 miles east from where they set out earlier in the day.

Petty Officer Robert Swieciki told the Associated Press that boats were patrolling the area, and around 10pm they heard Crowe calling out for help, at which point they helped bring them to shore. "It wasn't really a rescue," Swieciki added. "Really, more of just giving someone a lift."

Crowe tweeting at 1:30AM on Sunday, "Thanks to Seth and the boys from the US Coast Guard for guiding the way...4 hrs 30 mins, 7m(11.2km)," later adding "We knew where exactly where we were, paddling around from csh into wind, we ran out of day. Grand adventure eh." Indeed!

Did they ever break up in the first place?

It was reported last week that Katy Perry and John Mayer had split, but based on this photo, they're definitely still an item! Katy and John, along with several pals, attended the FYF music festival on Saturday night in downtown Los Angeles, and the 27-year-old pop star posted this photo as proof that they're together.

When the two started their romance in July, John reportedly told the newly-divorced singer that he had changed his womanizing ways, but various websites claim he dumped her after just several weeks of dating. Looks like things could be serious between these two ... can't wait for them to start writing songs about each other!
