Despite early online reports that Robert Pattinson has decided to pull out of the upcoming press tour for his latest flick, Cosmopolis, in light of the recent cheating scandal surrounding Kristen Stewart and her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, the actor's rep says it just isn't so!

The 26-year-old has been dealing with a lot in the past week, after pictures surfaced of Stewart getting intimate with the married father-of-two, but his rep insists:

"Cosmopolis is a film that Robert is very proud of and looks forward to supporting. No confirmed engagements have been canceled. Any reports to the contrary are inaccurate."

The rumors of a cancellation sparked when the studio scrapped plans for a tentatively scheduled press junket in LA over the Aug. 10 weekend, according to a studio rep, but it seems the Water for Elephants star is still fully committed to promoting the project, which premieres in NYC on Aug. 13.

Unfortunately for the jilted Pattinson, there is virtually no way he can pull out of the international press tour for the last installment of Twilight, and it will be interesting to see if the onscreen/offscreen lovers will have kissed and made up come November.

Considering R-Patz kicked Stewart out of the $6million home they share, we're not gonna hold our breath!

And he seems especially taken with fellow teen phenom and US Olympic swimmer Missy Franklin, who won her first individual Olympic gold medal in the 100-meter backstroke on Monday.

"heard @FranklinMissy is a fan of mine. now im a fan of hers too," Bieber tweeted to the 17-year-old athlete. "CONGRATS on winning GOLD! #muchlove." Franklin's response? "I just died! Thank you!"

"She was walking around like she owned the place, having the time of her life, and Tom, who looked really handsome was talking to her, was really engaging with her," onlooker Marianne Cohen told People.

It's been a while since a boy band blew up like One Direction, but it's easy to see why girls all over the world are enamored with these five lads -- they're adorable!

Today we spotted Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson at the recording studio in London, and they took a few minutes to pose for pictures and greet fans before heading inside to get down to business. Liam tweeted, "Been do busy in the studio workin on the 2nd album, im really exciteddd for you guys to here it! :)"

One Direction are set to perform at the Staples Center for the 2012 Video Music Awards on September 6, and Liam told MTV News, "We're really looking forward to the VMAs. It's quite nerve-racking as well, because obviously there's been so many historical moments and stuff that have happened at the VMAs. Now we want to make a moment ourselves, but who knows?"
